Moonbeam is a fantastic scholar and she will do anything she can to help those in need, as long as it doesn't involve leaving her quarters or the library. Or, at the very end, the garden. She likes adventures only in theory and reads a ton about exploration and the sciences. Moonbeam describes herself as a dragon of simple pleasures, but it's common knowledge throughout that she basically means luxury. Incidentally, she's a great gift-giver, and while some may roll their eyes at her poise, everyone wants to stay in her good graces. There's also another reason - nobody wants to see what it's like to feel the wrath of a powerful magistrix like her.
She loves flowers, but finds it hard to keep them alive by herself. Usually they end up desiccated. While Moonbeam's memory is impressive, she forgets about the whole world while reading a good novel or an interesting research paper. If uninterrupted, that state can go on for days.
