Observations & Notes: It has been rather difficult to observe this particular hatchling for reasons listed below. We are fairly certain he has invoked his runes, for his powers are unusually strong for someone so young. The exact nature of these powers has yet to be documented, for one simple reason: his main ability is to vanish from sight. Various transitory stages have been reported -- sometimes his figure dissolves into a mist or fog that then dissipates; sometimes he fades gradually from view; sometimes he's simply there one moment and gone the next. We are unsure of how much control he has over this power, as he doesn't seem to be deliberately disappearing, and seems rather sheepish when questioned about it. Further study is recommended.

The subject has grown into his powers over the past few months, exhibiting a greater command of when and how he fades from view. A gradual shift to invisibility appears preferable. We as of yet have been unable to determine whether this is due to shifting being the least taxing method or some personal choice, as he continues to refuse interviews.
His powers still activate on occasion when he is startled, causing some confusion when the coverings he wears walk off on their own. We have discovered, however, that he can make objects other than himself and his pearl invisible -- it simply requires more forethought than an accidental shifting. When asked whether he could extend this invisibility to living creatures rather than just his coverings and possessions, he said only that it would be cruel if he did.
