B I O G R A P H Y

A young dragonet beat her wings effortlessly, gliding through the night skies of the Tangled Wood, alone. Somehow, she lacked any fear of the darkness and the lurking creatures in the trees watching her every move. The occasional howl and screech from the Wood seemed to calm her mind from thoughts about her scattered clan.

Her tiny wings folded neatly on her sides as she began to walk. The trees, stretching tall on either side of her, cast a shadow, darker than the night itself, before her. The grass, sprinkled with dew, gently brushed against her shoulders and sides as she passed before bending back to cover her trail. Tiny lightning bugs flicker a choreographed dance while the nighttime chorus of crickets and other humming insects filled the void of seclusion and darkness with sentimental music. With her head raised high, her back straight, and her tail, never touching the ground, swishing side to side, she continued on towards the unknown presence.

Right in front of her, there was a faint indigo glow coming from a patch of upturned soil. She could feel a connection to it. Its aura was practically beckoning her to come closer. The dragonet warily approached the aura, basking in its energy as she let it surround hers. She could sense the object that was buried underneath her. She began to dig up the soil, hoping for something, anything, that could possibly be there.

A heaving body and a pair of dirty claws later, the dragonet managed to pull out a moderate-sized but beautifully gilded chest, albeit covered in soil. She dusted off the remaining dirt off her claws and held out her right claw to the golden lock of the chest. As though it had been waiting for her this entire time, the lock immediately gave way, hanging loosely on the metal hinges it once kept closed. With delicate, princess-like etiquette, she lifted the cover of the unlocked chest.

A purple masque, slightly faded in color but in perfect condition nonetheless, stared right back at her in a deadpan manner. Lined with royal silver and encrusted with diamonds as bright as the stars, it would have certainly fetched a good coin on the local market. She gingerly lifted it up and placed it on her snout, welcoming the surge of high magic that bound her own aura to that of the magnificent trinket.
