“Welcome to the clan! Oh, you want to hear more about Aerris? Let’s see-- She’s a cautious, almost skittish, dragon. She spends little time with others and rarely leaves the clan's area. She and her mate, Faran, pay the clan dues to live with the clan, and no one really asks questions, but seriously,, the pair are heavily involved in the black market. You didn’t hear it from me!. If there's something you want and you have the treasure for it, they have contacts and can make arrangements. Overall, she's a very intelligent and aware dragon. She constantly wears the hood to hide herself, while her cloak is akin to a child's blanket, giving the appearance of confidence which she often lacks. She is often found curled up in out of the way places, or cuddled up asleep somewhere safe, or meticulously organizing work records that the two swear they don't have. You didn’t hear that from me either. She rarely strays far from her mate or their lair, as she knows dragons who can run messages for her. Their message box is over there if you ever have any...needs. And you didn’t hear that from me either.” Faran checked the message box set up outside their lair, and returned to the kitchen table where Aerris was finishing a wonderful breakfast of blueberry bread pudding and bacon that had been left for them by the clan kitchen. “We have an unusual request, Aerris. The new clan member wants a taste of home. Who do we know can get us a Snowfall Robe and fast?” Aerris paused and scrunched up her nose. “That would be Benny The Claw. I will send the message today and see what the price will be. He’s usually after gems though. I will warn the client, too. I will be in the office if you need me.” Without another word Aerris got up, leaving more than half her breakfast unfinished. Faran shook his head as his mate lifted a box on the shelf in the Pantry, and the entire cabinet swung out, revealing a hidden room. The door closed behind her and Faran decided to head out and track down a lead on a rumored claw from Windsinger himself. Aerris sat down at the desk, letter still in hand from the client, and decided to write them first.

Aerris rolled up both message scrolls and then used wax and a special seal to ensure no one would tamper without the receivers knowledge.The wax usually discouraged busybodies and nosy neighbors. Addresses placed next to the wax seal, they were ready to be delivered. She went to the door and took a deep breath. Faran had gone out so she was alone. She would have to put the scrolls in the message box by herself today. She made sure her hood was up and took a deep breath, then slowly opened the door to peek out. It was a nice day, and no one seemed to be around, they did have a nice big lair on the outskirts of the clan so she could avoid having to say pleasantries to anyone or talk about the weather. Her heart beating so fast she felt light-headed, Aerris dashed out to the message box and back, flipping the bright flag that signalled their specially hired messenger that they had mail to send out. She rushed back inside and slammed the door behind her, trying to catch her breath. She needed a nice nap as she waited for replies. She curled up on her bed with her cloak tucked around her, and fell deeply asleep until there was a series of knocks on the door. Rap RapRap Rap, claw scrape. Aerris waited a moment, then went out and got the replies from the box. She arranged the price and payment and drop times, all before Farran returned.

A little bird told me that deep down, Aerris really wants to wear dresses and that pretty pink bow, but she has an image to uphold.
That couple though. Dang, that primary gives them a spectral vibe and their wings call out, upping their intimidation factor quite much. I love Runes and highly approve of their tert. They make such good spectral hatchies. Definitely worth keeping those their kiddos!
