Named after the small skipper butterfly Atalopedes campestris, known in the USA as the Sachem. I got her as a gift from Skarlette a while back, and now she's my light rep!

Sachem is the clan’s Light representative, heralding from the Sunbeam Ruins. She was chosen as a rep because her colours reminded the Lair elders of the Lightweaver herself. She is a butterfly keeper, and does her level best to keep her preserve hidden so that her precious darlings do not become food. Every so often she makes forays into Dionysus' garden, picking out plants for her fluttery friends to enjoy. The coatl doesn't mind, he grows some things specially.
tl0165.jpg It is just over 1 inch (2.5 cm) long and has orange-and-brown adults. Females are slightly larger and have paler markings on their wings compared to males.

Its host plants are various grasses, including lawn grasses. Its caterpillar is dark green and black. It has multiple broods per year.

This skipper is common from the southern United States through Brazil. It often migrates north into U.S. northern states.
