Fuji was made by the Flamecaller in the Great Furnace. He was formed with many layers of magma, lava, and ash. She did not mean to create him, but when she did, she had no idea he was in the Great Furnace. His fiery orange eyes flickered as he tried to find a way out of the volcano, not because of the heat, but because of fear. Rumbling came from inside the magma chamber all through the Great Furnace up to the top of the crater.

Every dragon fled the Volcano to let the eruption occur. They all got out except for the small green and red boy, Fuji. He then found himself stuck in a stream of magma, which didn't hurt him. The magma just filled the vents all the way to the outside of the crater and other vents and began leaking everywhere in the Ashfall Waste. The flow finally reached a point where it just exploded everywhere with ash, lava, and the small dragon. "Help! Help me! Someone help me!" he called to the other dragons who were safe. They all heard the calls for help, but no one saw him in the huge cloud of ash caused by the volcano. Each dragon waited around the Furnace to watch the eruption and look for the dragon who was yelling. No one saw him. When the sky cleared up, it was too late for Fuji. The dragons went back to their lairs and continued on their daily business as if nothing happened.

The boy woke up near a lava pool in the Molten Scar. He coughed and looked around to see that he was in someone else's lair. "I'm so sorry," he said to them. Fuji got up and ran off into the distance away from the Ashfall Waste. He ran through the Windswept Plateau, into a small portion of the Scarred Wasteland, and into the Starfall Isles where he discovered a small lair in the Star Wood Strand.

He just wandered into the clan, didn't ask if he could stay, but he felt he was home. He just started playing with the other hatchlings, munched on some greens the clan had in their storage, and made himself a little bed to sleep in. The other dragons noticed he was there, but they didn't mind him staying in the lair. Cepheus saw that he was lonely so he just said nothing and let him stay.

Fuji is a loyal Samurai and he fights to protect his clan. He is very tough with a high defense since he was formed by lava. He is quick with a sword and he is as passionate as Mount Fuji, the volcano he was named after. He guards his Emperor, Cepheus, and watches over everyone to make sure no one tries to harm them. Fuji stays in his bed to meditate occasionally and to think about things to improve his katana skills. He reads scrolls and old books found in Xiros's library, in hopes of finding evidence of any ancestors he may have had or if any other Samurais exist. The boy even tries to find new moves and tries to learn about any magic abilities he could use. He never quits practicing with his katana and he is trying to learn new magic abilities. The clan's mage, Trickster, gives Fuji advice on magic and what items are good for magic or not. He also helps him decide which items are actually magic or are just mistaken for magic.

Fuji is a pretty happy little dude. He loves to protect his clan and he loves defending Emperor Cepheus. He is a primary fighter for the clan while Blake, Trickster, and Blurryface are more secondary. He fights along with the other primary fighters Midnight, Brendon, and Patrick. He only uses a katana, though, instead of claws or teeth. He uses magic occasionally, but only when it's needed. He leaves all magic for his mage friend, Trickster, to do.
