as great and as gentle and as cruel as it is to set a thinking thing on a shelf like a statuette, even the most complacent will not be content to stay there forever. there comes a time when no matter how thick the fear of the outside, eventually the thickest of fogs both real and imagined will not be enough to stop them from climbing down, and beginning to walk.

two dragons emerged from the mist that day, hides clinging to their ribs as they gasped their first breaths of fresh air in unknowable aeons. it wasn't long before they found a clan as odd and as haunted as them.
conducts themself like royalty half the time, and like an absolute slob the other half. sometimes you just gotta roll in some dirt, okay?
