Biography
Born to a light clan, Hamaat set out to find his charge. His search led him to the Scarred Wasteland, to a large kingdom of dragons. Something about this desert like nation felt right to him, and he remained there for many months. After a time, as he was traveling in the marketplace, Hamaat met a young Skydancer with wings of red and a variety of jewels and gems on his body. Immediately, he knew this was his charge. Alas, Hamaat soon came to realize this Skydancer was a prince, and his charge was swept away.
Hamaat then took several years to train, attempting to enter the king's guard in order to return to his prince. Along the way, he found out about a plot for a coup, an attempt on the prince's life. After the king was exalted, and Maajhul took the throne, all bets were off. Left with no options, Hamaat stormed the palace, fighting tooth and claw to reach his charge before it was too late. In the battle, he was wounded, and lost most of his eyesight in one eye... though he would not reveal it for many years to come.
When the two were safe, Hamaat explained how charges came to be, and decided the two would retreat, instead living to fight another day.
Hamaat, being the elder of the two, became responsible for planning their travels. He plotted safe paths, talked with clans for places to stay, and hunted for food. Slowly but surely, passing skills along to Maajhul, things a future king should know. How to negotiate, how to read other's emotions and intentions, and how to carry oneself with pride and dignity despite the wrongs against them.
Eventually, the two met Ansys, a small fae who led them to Clan Xelestial. The two chose to stay with the small clan of outcasts, slowly feeling at home. Finally, with his charge safe, Hamaat felt he could rest. For a moment, at least.
He trained vigorously, day and night, body and mind. Hamaat swore he would find a way to regain what Maajhul had lost. He would find his prince's throne again.
It would not be easy, but with Maajhul by his side, Hamaat can overcome any challenge.
It wouldn't be easy to win the kingdom back. Hamaat knew that. It would take hard work, constant and thorough. He'd have to train harder than he ever had before. Harder than when he'd trained for the guard so he could protect his charge. But he'd do it. He would do anything for Maajhul. What sort of a guard would he be if he be if he failed? He would train, day after day, night after night, until he and Maajhul could return and win. Only than could he rest. Only once Maajhul sat upon his throne would Hamaat be fulfilled.

And the whole wide world's comin' after you
