Lark


Sings, constantly, from so high up in the sky that frost cracks and grows over his skin. (Oddly this doesn't seem to bother him.)

Expends so much energy at that altitude that when down in the lair he's invariably still and quiet, asleep or not, which tends to unnerve approximately absolutely everyone.

Once personally encountered the Windsinger at the height of spring's fiercest gale, which tenacity so impressed the deity he was bestowed the Windsinger's blessing and visible mark of favor. Proceeded to continue on exactly as before, while native windies plaintively question what on Sornieth did he do. 		tumblr_inline_orpa2f45bQ1r3h1o8_540.jpg
(Popular vote by concerted effort is that the Windsinger isn't endorsing risky flying behavior, the blessing he gave Lark is what keeps the ridiculous noodle from dying every time he narconaps in midair.)

Someone was apparently indiscreet talking about that around listening ears, because the lair hatchlings chipped in together when the charmcrafter came through and presented Lark with a feather "for luck."

...It's not crafted for luck. It could, most relevantly and generously, be interpreted as a wish for warm flying. (Honestly it looks like they probably just picked all the greenest options since Lark is green.)

But he has had someone catch him so far every time he falls, and the charm was intended for luck, so, who knows, maybe it does contribute something.

But it's Not! Allowed! to use the pillow for crash padding! (It's too small for that anyway.)
