Biography

SCP-130
Hate Loves Hate

Item #: SCP-130

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: Entry to the cave containing SCP-130 is to be sealed off and placed under constant surveillance. The area surrounding the cave is to be designated as a restricted zone, and signs indicating that the area is "shade touched" are to be prominently displayed. The purpose of this measure is to discourage visitors from approaching the cave and to prevent unauthorized access. Security personnel are to patrol the perimeter regularly and respond to any attempts to breach the area.

A security camera system has been installed to monitor the entrance of the cave and to observe any changes in the size or behavior of SCP-130. The footage from these cameras is to be reviewed daily by designated personnel, and any unusual activity or growth of SCP-130 is to be reported immediately to Site Command.

In the event of a containment breach or unauthorized entry into the cave, Mobile Task Force Epsilon-6 ("Cave Dwellers") is to be dispatched for containment and re-securing of SCP-130. MTF Epsilon-6 members are equipped with specialized equipment to safely handle and contain SCP-130 instances. They are authorized to use non-lethal force to subdue and detain any individuals attempting to interact with SCP-130.

Research efforts are ongoing to better understand the nature and properties of SCP-130. Any new information or discoveries regarding its growth, behavior, or containment requirements are to be documented and shared with the research team assigned to SCP-130. Any personnel entering the containment chamber must undergo psychological evaluation before and after their interaction with SCP-130.

Note: Due to the unpredictable and potentially dangerous nature of SCP-130, experimentation and direct interaction with the anomaly are strictly prohibited without prior approval from Site Command.

Description: SCP-130 is a cluster of Spinel crystals located in the ████ cave within the shifting expanse. The cluster forms a mirror-like surface embedded in a large wall of the cave and has shown continuous growth over time. Regular maintenance of the cave wall is necessary to prevent uncontrolled expansion.

When an individual looks into the mirror-like surface of SCP-130, they see their own reflection, which appears incredibly beautiful and alluring. These reflections within SCP-130 possess the ability to speak and taunt the viewer into committing acts of great horror and malevolence. The reflections use persuasive techniques, exploiting the desires, insecurities, and darker aspects of the viewer's psyche to manipulate them into carrying out these acts.

Prolonged exposure to these enchanting reflections causes affected dragons to gradually succumb to the temptations and suggestions, losing their moral compass and committing increasingly abhorrent actions. The reflections act as catalysts for the transformation of dragons into malicious beings, driven by their darkest impulses.1

Addendum-130-1 : Incident Report

Date: ██/██/████

Location: Site-██ Containment Chamber

Description: During routine observation, Dr. Olgad entered the containment chamber of SCP-130 for data collection and analysis. Dr. Olgad spent an extended period examining their own reflection within SCP-130 without interruption. Approximately 30 minutes into the observation, security personnel stationed outside the chamber reported unusual behavior and distressing noises from within.

Upon entering the chamber, security personnel found Dr. Olgad engaged in violent and sadistic acts against a fellow researcher. The victim sustained severe injuries but survived the assault. Dr. Olgad appeared to be in a trance-like state, driven by the influence of the reflection's whispers.

Immediate termination of Dr. Olgad was authorized, and the victim received necessary medical attention. Psychological evaluations revealed a rapid deterioration of mental stability in Dr. Olgad, indicating the potent effect of SCP-130's manipulative capabilities.

Addendum-130-2: Interview Log

Date: ██/██/████

Interviewed: D-7832

Interviewer: Dr. Hertzog
Foreword: D-7832 was chosen for the interview due to their recent exposure to SCP-130 and the subsequent engagement in criminal acts2. The purpose of the interview is to gather information regarding the experience and the influence of the reflections within SCP-130.

Dr. Hertzog: Can you tell me what you saw and felt when looking into the reflection within SCP-130?

D-7832: It was amazing, Doc! The reflections were so pretty, like a piece of art. They showed me a world where everything is okay. It felt like freedom, you know?

Dr. Hertzog: Did the reflection make you do anything?

D-7832: Nah, it didn't make me do anything. It just showed me that hurting people can be a good thing, like a special kind of fun. I didn't see anything wrong with it. It seemed beautiful to me.

Dr. Hertzog: Did you resist or give in to those feelings?

D-7832: Resist? Why would I? You're the one being strange, everything I did was out of love! To fix people, fix everything.

Dr. Hertzog: I must say, D-7832, your way of thinking is deeply disturbing. Your disregard for others is not acceptable.

D-7832: Disturbing? Nah, Doc, you just don't get it. The stuff I saw was beautiful. It's like painting with different colors, the dark ones. It's not about being bad, it's about seeing something amazing that others don't understand.

Dr. Hertzog: That's enough. End the interview and ensure D-7832 is returned to his cell immediately.

└┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┘

Closing Statement: D-7832 was terminated upon closure of the interview.

Footnotes

1. Newborn hatchlings do not possess a reflection within the Spinel cluster, indicating that the corruptive influence of SCP-130 requires a level of maturity and susceptibility in the viewer.

2. D-7832 was extracted from a jail in ███ before discovery of the cluster. He had been charged with murder, ███ and tempering with bodies. █ victims were determined to originate from this incident although other disappearances of dragons and beastclan in the area may be linked to the case.
