Biography
mystic rosewood /mis·tik/: involving otherworldly practices alchemist curious | scatterbrained | off-putting |
--biography--
If you ever run into Mystic and ask him a question, he will probably pluck a feather or loose scale from your hide, put it in his pocket, and shuffle away muttering to himself. It's not that he doesn't know that you asked a question or that he doesn't want to answer; he simply doesn't care to talk when he's in a scientific mood™, which is usually all the time. No one is sure where Mystic came from or how old he is, as it is extremely hard to ever get a straight answer from him. He rarely talks of his past, although at one point someone pieced together than he was kicked out of his university for unconventional methodology - rumors range from experiments with Shade properties to how he might have melted an assistant in his cauldron. Everyone can agree that Mystic's potions and other creations are vital to Mist Meadow and its occupants, and he is always telling others how happy he is to be in the Viridian Labyrinth, with its exquisite specimens and ingredients. |
--life in the clan--
Mystic was asked to join the Rosewood Clan at the insistence of Iemyria after he saved the clan's nests from a particularly nasty case of egg rot. In fact, his intervention and clever use of salt to counteract the effects of deterioration led to its eventual eradication across Sornieth. Not that Mystic would ever brag about this; ask him about his involvement in ending egg rot and he may launch into a lecture about the beneficial properties of dragon eggs and how he wishes he could melt them in his cauldron again one day. Although not all Tundras have the trait that prevents them from remembering other dragons except by smell, Mystic does exhibit selective memory and relies heavily on his assistant[link], who seems to understand him completely, unlike many of his peers. He barely remembers having a mate and is vaguely aware that he has children. text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text |
