My name is Xena
I have traveled far from my tribe, located in a cold, dangerous place that I like to call "The Pit." Maybe one day more will escape, or even use trickery and a bit of spells like me to break their way out of the frosty hell, but only maybe. The place is a mess, tears and blood are frozen before even falling, and it's not very rare to see a nest of abandoned hatchlings left to wither up and die. Very few even survive that part, but it's a struggle after that.
The Pit is a testing area, where dragons are illegally purchased through stealing, or breeding, and the hatchlings are laid into the examine room, which gives them the little hope left to keep themselves alive. It's warm, and they provide them warm milk and food, a cozy bed..... before they start the torture. Constant experimenting on them leaves many dead, and the survivors go through the The Pit until they are ready to be used, as if it's just a storage container.
One day, though, someome came, wearing a large, black cloak and glowing, almost lifeless white eyes. They quickly turned and grabbed me, yanking me away from my hollow and dragging me out the doors to the testing room. I struggled in her grip, and muttered a few words which I picked up from the eldest dragons, and the masked creature froze in place, causing me to fall. I ran. I ran as if something was chasing me, and I never felt so free and happy as I burst through the doors, and I became free.
Traveling across the lands, I searched for a place that I could call home. One day, while I was flying, I stumbled into a small, flowery island, and glanced around, wondering where I was at, before a pink dragonness with feathers down her neck approached me, her eyes sharp yet soft. ' ' Hello. What are you doing here? ' ' She softly asked, leaning down to meet my face. I told her my story, and she gave a stiff shake of her head.
' ' That's where a lot of dragons from here come from, love. ' ' She softly replied, before leading Xena down a litten path, into a dim, yet beautiful cave. where hatchlings were playing, and dragons of mostly one color were speaking : pink.
' ' We had obtained a message for your arrival. That magic that you hold, it's healing magic, and we need a new healer. Will you accept this position? ' ' She asked.
