The Twisting Crescendo - the powerful storm that has raged since ancient times. This clash of energy is so powerful that occasionally, a smaller storm is thrown out into the surrounding landscape. These storms usually end up in other parts of the Windswept Plateau or the Sea of a Thousands Currents and soak up nearby elemental magic. If a storm soaks up enough magic, it takes on a corporal form and becomes a living being.

Deep in the heart of the Southern Icefield, Blizzard Cyclones are born out of the coldest of frost. Every beat of their wings sends out blasts of icy-cold gusts that freezes everything nearby. Firewhirls are the natural enemies of the Blizzards, being one of the few creatures that can melt their ice. Blizzards rarely leave the Icefield, though they occasionally visit the Sea of Thousand Currents to visit their Hurricane cousins.
