Biography
Named after the glowing purple element first introduced in the game Borderlands 2.
Eridium is the watcher of dreams and the maker of dream catchers, able to venture into a dream catching zone far beyond the realm of Sorneith. No dragon needs to worry about nightmares when she’s around! She enjoys customising the dreams to everyone's tastes, and as such is quite popular in the Lair. Her sandglass helps her keep track of time so that she's never too late or too early! However, every so often one or two will slip past her mystical defences or avoid containment, something that makes her very sad the next day. She is especially careful not to alert Alduin to her craft, since she is very worried that if he takes control he will use her abilities to generate fear en masse. Larimar is considering pulling her into the self defence program and assigning her to Naos, but Eridium is far too interested in learning how to Tarot read for that. But there's always someone else watching, be it a bird or a con artist. Or maybe it's just NightVale, the mysterious Anomaly Eridium sometimes sees in the dream zone. How did she get in there anyways?
Eridian Weapons from Borderlands use Eridium chunks as a reusable and rechargeable ammunition source. Neither the Eridians nor their weapons are present in Borderlands 2, although there are a few Relics of Eridian origin.

Eridium, not to be confused with Iridium, is a new element found in Borderlands 2. It was released onto Pandora after the Vault Hunters opened The Vault in the events of Borderlands. Along with the discovery of Eridium, Slag, a by-product of refining Eridium, has been used for weapon manufacture due to its unique properties. Eridium can be used by NPC Sirens to augment their own powers. The maximum number of Eridium bars a player can have at any one time is 500.
