When the Opalites left the mountain Gem was a little gemling. He was curious and the big world seemed really interesting to him. He's never seen anything as bright as the sun and never felt anything like the wind.
He went to find some adventures without asking if he may. So he found big waters. It was magnificent! But Gem didn't even think that he couldn't swim.
Sharpwing was the one who saved him as he was always on his post to see if there're someone in need of his help. He found the lil gemling and tryed to explain him that world is dangerous for a small dragon. Gem was happy to find a friend and when he came to his parents he told them about the huge Imperial.
The other day he went to meet Sharpwing again. And soon they became close friends, even called it other brothers.

As young adult he met Ajora while visiting Lightwater clan. It was first time Gem saw a Spiral not from the Court and he was excited, surprised. Ajora was interested in his story and in other Opalites. As long as Gem was telling her more and more she asked him to walk by the Promenade. Gem saw Light flight's dragons. They were different and soon he felt uneasy, he wanted to return to his Court. Ajora wanted to meet him once again.
Each day they grew on each other more and Gem gifted Ajora different gems and minerals. She made flower leis for him and was so gentle he couldn't resist. They became a cute pair of spirals and live like that even now.
