Uh-oh, it looks like this anxious child fled her home lair (Volrin, #261879) with her father, and now she's off to see the world with him! If ever you feel the need to exalt or sell her, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to her home lair, to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here, or to the hub if you don't want another dragon in return. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!

ADVENTURE LOG 1

Saturn is an incredibly meek little Pearlcatcher, and has been plagued with nervousness since the moment she was out of her eggshell. She has nervous habits of wringing her claws and chewing her nails a lot and desperately wishes she could be a strong, bold clan guard like her mother, Nauta. She began her adventure when, late one night, she awoke to the sound of her previously kind and loving parents arguing viciously; she gasped with terror as she saw her mom slash her claws into her father's neck, and watched in disbelief as he then turned around and left the lair. Saturn tiptoed around her despairing mother, who didn't even seem to be aware that her daughter was there, and dashed out of the lair after her dad.

Unbeknownst to the soul-crushed Imperial, Saturn was slinking along in the shadows behind him, fearing she'd be in trouble if he discovered his tag-along companion. Her heart brimmed with excitement and anxiety, and her breathing became almost frantic; this was the most exciting thing she had ever done!

ADVENTURE LOG 2

After following my dad for a short time, he finally noticed the extra pair of tiny pawprints behind him. He was mad at me at first, but I could tell he liked having somebody to talk to. I knew he missed mom, and I did too on those quiet nights when it was just him and I, but I was still determined to follow in my father's footsteps to see the world. While we headed east, dad taught me everything he knew about surviving on the land. He could be strict a lot of the time but I knew he meant well.

When we arrived at Nature territory he spent some time teaching me about camouflage and hiding, until during a lesson I stumbled into an oddly shaped, small cave. As we walked in, the room grew until it came alive with all dragon kind. It seemed like a new litter of hatchlings had come only a few days before because babies were running everywhere! Dad was more interested in the fungi gardens growing everywhere, though... babies never really were his thing. We stayed here for quite a while, but not without the daily lessons Mr. Serious-Time continued to enforce on me. He said I'll forget if we don't, and I guess he's probably right... but I wouldn't tell him that.

ADVENTURE LOG 3

Saturn dashed through the Shifting Expanse, clutching her shimmering pearl in one claw. She had recently decided to go and visit another lair on her own, without the overbearing attitude of her father, and it seemed like this was the perfect place to find one to visit. The Pearlcatcher stopped when she saw a small dragon in the distance, seemingly coming closer to her. She was curious about them and began to approach them slowly, hoping they wouldn't see her until she was close.

"Hello there," the voice startled Saturn. She turned around to see a young-looking Mirror, who was just slightly taller than her.

"Oh, sorry about that," the Mirror chuckled, "I didn't mean to scare you. My name's Oceanic, and yours?"

"It's... Saturn," the Pearlcatcher sighed as the two began to make their way back to Oceanic's lair. There lived a relatively small group of dragons who resided in a large network of caves that lead through the mountains and cliffs.

"I was thinking," the Mirror asked Saturn, "would you like to stay for the night? We have an Autumn festival on tonight." Saturn nodded eagerly, and her new friend lead her into the visitor's cave where she met another traveler, who was still waiting to leave the lair.

It wasn't long until there were lights all around the lair, including on the ledge outside of the caves. The Pearlcatcher talked to the other dragons for a while before leaving to go back to the visitor's cave.
Saturn woke up at dawn and prepared to leave to go on yet another adventure. An excited young hatchling gifted her with a little bat companion, just before she flew into the air and off to another area.

ADVENTURE LOG 4

Saturn finally reached her destination, after what had felt to be years. The Tribe of Falling Light's camp stood before her, faint memories of Halesworth Haven flickering in her head. She could remember that her father had said that Halesworth Haven and The Tribe of Falling Light were affiliated and if she ever needed somewhere to go, this was one of those places.

She stood still, clutching her iridescent pearl tightly to her chest, as three other young Pearlcatchers raced towards her.

"I told you Mystic can see the future!" The red and white one hollered to what looked to be her siblings.

"Whatever Seluvia, you believe everything that flame head says." One of the two pink brothers spoke, though Saturn couldn't tell which.

The three stopped in front of her, faces looking happy as ever. "Are you part of The Tribe of Falling Light?" Saturn asked, standing up defensively.

"Well... only a little bit. We're going to go to different clans soon, so our mage told us to go at a certain time so that we could make sure you got into camp safely." The female named Seluvia said slowly, the two others nodding in agreement. "Oh, and before you go, we were instructed to tell you our names. I'm Seluvia, this is Archi, and this is Tangwen." She continued pointing to each in turn.

"Alright, well, I wish you luck on your travels," Saturn spoke softly, hoping she wouldn't seem too out of place as she walked into the camp.

Over the next day or so, she was directed to a nearby auction house by the dragons living there. It was strange that they didn't have any apparel themselves, but gladly got some for those who traveled. Though she didn't stay for long, she had fun while she was there.

ADVENTURE LOG 5

Saturn nodded and softly whispered to herself, "I think it's time to move on."

Peering at the little playful bat beside her, the Pearlcatcher smiled and began to flap her wings until she soared through the sky, feeling the wind brush against her face. The apparel she wore was heavy and clunky as she laboriously tried to get herself somewhere. It did not help that the wind was in favor of being against her, and a final gust tossed her off balance.

Down, down, down she soared and for a second, she thought she was a goner. "I knew I should have waited for the wind to die down!" she cried out. Suddenly, with a very graceful impact, she was saved by a Fae with the most brilliant blue eyes. Saturn quickly realized that the dragon had been born from the Water flight.

"Careful!" the Fae shouted. She sat down and started breathing heavily. "I wasn't expecting any visitors. I am Chordae. And you?"

"Saturn," she said almost absentmindedly, in a breathless voice. Saturn shook her head and blushed. "Thank you for saving me. The wind is outrageous today."

"For sure," Chordae giggled. "By the way, our entire clan will be moving to the dark side-- er... I mean the Tangled Wood, soon. Water shall be missed, but the Shadow lands feel like a much better fit for us."

Saturn cocked her head at this strange change of subject, but was too exhausted to reply. She hastily told Chordae that she was going to rest on the sandy shore for a while, thanks to her crazy adventure tiring her out. The pale Fae beamed and took off, and soon Saturn felt herself drifting off into a deep, deep sleep...

ADVENTURE LOG 6

Unfortunately for Saturn, a strong tide came in during her rest and, as it receded, swept her far out into the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Despite the wild panic this turn of events flung her into, the Pearlcatcher made sure that her first course of action was to get her cursed bat friend onto her head and out of the water. He sputtered and coughed up the mouthful of water he had accidentally inhaled, but otherwise, he was unharmed.

Saturn spent what felt like hours pushing herself against the vicious current, but her clunky, water-logged apparel once again weighed her down and inhibited her movement. Eventually, Saturn's muscles were too tired to fight the raging sea any longer, and she was swallowed up by the roiling waves. The last thing Saturn felt was Rune's little claws digging into the fur of her mane as the Paerlcatcher's vision went dark, and she fell into what could've been a fatal unconsciousness.

...

Saturn's bleary yellow eyes opened once again, this time to a relieving sight: land. She and Rune had washed up on the shore of the Sunbeam Ruins, her birth flight. Speaking of the little bat,
Rune was there as well, his midnight fur coated in sand and reeking of seawater. Like the Pearlcatcher, though, he had miraculously gotten out of it alright.
