Eldritch

She is surprisingly cheerful for such a dark dragon with such dark abilities. Though not a shadow dragon, shadows seem drawn to her and appear to do her bidding. Still, her sunny personality creates its own light even when she is shrouded in darkness.

Despite outward appearances, Eldritch is not exactly what she seems. Her bright personality shines brightly, through mannerisms and demeanors that her clan mates are more than used to. Yet despite her personality, her role in the clan is exactly what you would expect from her, mastery of the Dark Arts. Yet she never once let her role affect who she is as a dragon.

Her birthplace is somewhere that no longer exists, much to her dismay. It closed it’s doors, no longer open, but it only made her more loyal to the home she knows now. Without hesitation, as soon as she could hold books between her claws and read the runes written there, she studied magic.

Even though she’s not a Shadow dragon, the Shade easily conformed to her will. Magic came surprisingly swiftly, constantly conforming and doing just as she wished. If her personality wasn’t as bright as it is, she might have been one to fall to such darkness, but every time the Shade whispers sweet, hollow promises of power, Eldritch easily batted them away. She would not be bothered by such promises, no matter how tempting they were.

Though with no hatchlings of her own yet, it’s not completely out of the question. Her studies and control over the dark arts are more important to her right now, as not a day go past that she doesn’t learn something new, a new bit of magic that wasn’t discovered before.

Being an Arcane dragon though, she makes the Arcanist proud with her sheer ability to control magic, even if it is Shadow magic. Even as she perfects her abilities, she works endlessly to defend her clan and show what she has learned, for what is the purpose of mastering a craft if she doesn’t pass along that knowledge?
