The Note
Lezard wrote:
Dear Gor,

It has been wonderful to travel with you these past few months, yet I feel we must part. Thank you for all the good times we had together and all the times you've saved me. You were the best wizard I'll ever meet.

Yours forever,
Lezard

GOR'S DIARY

I'm a crafty bad boy and I love to fight! I'm young, I'm hip, and ready to take on the world! My parents are the strongest wizards in the world ((he has not met any other wizards in the world)) and I'm strong like them too! I'm leaving home now, and I'll see EVERYTHING.

Got to my first lair a couple of weeks ago, a fire lair all hidden away in a corner, under a load or rocks. I'm so proud of myself for finding it.
I learnt some spells from a dragon called Janus in the clan but he told me that they weren't very good to use everyday... I don't think they were things that I should be showing my parents... he said they weren't that bad compared to other things he knows, I did bug him a bit before he actually told me anything but it worked! I'm learning things!

I’ve arrived in a new clan today. It’s a very lively clan of sorts. There are several beautiful ladies here if I do say so myself. But they’ve all got strong brooding males. Seeing all these mated pairs makes me wonder when I’ll find me a mate. OH WHO AM I KIDDING, I don’t need a mate, I’m doing just fine on my own with my bad boy ways.

The matriarch’s welcomed me into their lair, on one condition, no harmful magic spells are to be casted. They’ve even made one of mages already here use a spell locker on me. I guess it was the fact that I almost accidentally blew up half of their clan.

I made a friend. His name is Lezard. He's weird but a friend nevertheless. Anyways stuff happened and we became gladiators for a few days, but then I bested some guy in physical combat and got us freed. Anyways, the drinks in this Clan were pretty good.

So Lezard and I got captured by slavetraders. I had found a spell to make their food disappear and reappear in our stomachs, so that was hilarious for a time, but we were found and they were going to paralyze us and maroon us in the Shrieking Wilds to be devoured by whatever creature finds us appetizing. After catching us on our 30th escape attempt (or was it the 31st?) they did paralyze us, but I was too much of a hunk for them to transport easily and drop into the Shrieking Wilds and so they were delayed for a while trying to find a spell that could carry my awesomeness. Thankfully, we were rescued by pirates. At least, they dressed like pirates and looted our captors, but they were a little too kind to us to be actual pirates. Their leader was this sick lady named
Amethyst
. For some reason, she didn’t appreciate my brooding nature or my flirting. I guess she was intimidated because I was obviously waaaay out of her league.

They took us to a tribe to be healed by the tribe’s mage and Lezard and I spent a long time recovering. Of course, in that time I managed to start a small forest fire, maaaybeee accidentally attract a stampede of Centaurs by using another spell that the tribe’s mage taught me that sounded exactly like a centaur mating call and we both got kicked out. After stealing some food (it was delicious! I would’ve asked for their recipes if they weren’t too distracted by putting out fires and cleaning up Centaur stampede wreckage) we boarded a boat. Apparently Lezard is pining for his long-lost lady love or something stupid like that so we’re off to go find the gal and I’m tagging along for the adventure. Maybe I can destroy her clan so she’s forced to travel with us! ....Would that make me a third wheel? Oh well.

My brother and I arrived in Miss Matriarchs lair. She looks like a mean lady but she really isn't once you get to know her!! A lot of dragons from this lair moved on with their own journeys while we were here and there were so many eggs...I wanted to smash them, just one.

For some reason Lezard wanted to check out some clan in the middle of the plaguelands. It took us a few days to travel to them, but it was worth it. They were actually pretty nice! Well- for a plague clan I guess. There were still some dragons I wished to put a small spell on... but Lezard advised me not to... Oh well. Anyway, we stayed for a day or so, but there really wasn't anything to do. I got Lezard to try his first drink when we went to the clan's local bar! He hated it so much! You should've seen his face! It was amazing. We left not too long after we got there, as whatever Lezard wanted, he got. I didn't really meet anyone of notice...

Today I arrived in a new clan! We crossed over the Tangled Wood from the wherever it was we stayed in the plague lands. We caught wind of a clan in the woods run by three witches! I was fascinated by the tales of their powerful magic so I had to find out for myself. Lezard was still wary after the last clan I visited so it took him some convincing.

I can't find Lezard anywhere... I found this note and think he's gone and left me...

I arrived in the Abiding Boneyard and stumbled into the entrance that led into a vast lair. I liked this clan but I wanted to continue on soon. A male wildclaw named Tolls welcomed me and showed me around they have so many dragons, I made friends with a dragon they called Shadeclaw. She likes me, I think and wants to travel with me but after Lezard I don't think it's a good idea for another companion quite yet. I decided it was best to leave as early as possible. I don't want to overstay my welcome and being so big, I was constantly scared of stepping on one of the hatchlings they had.

Wow! My first visit to the Twisting Crescendo and I was both literally and metaphorically swept away by it. It's such a magical place and so full of life - nothing ever stands still. It was a wonderful place to rest before continuing my journey. Truth be told I actually stayed longer than originally intended but you see I met a charming Imperial named Skysong and well...she persuaded me to extend my visit into a long holiday.

I arrived at a clan in the Gladeveins! They were really nice to me and told countless stories of other travelers that have passed through. They gave me a space of my own to live in under a waterfall, a cozy cave with walls covered in flowering vines where I can practice my spells!

For some reason, every dragon that lived there smelled like honey. They also collect birds and snakes instead of eating them. I'll be leaving soon, I think.

I did something dumb. I did something really dumb, and you know it's bad if I'm admitting it.

I had just entered Lightning territory, you see. Hah, and I'd thought, I thought it would be fun to try out a storm spell I'd picked up. Thought it'd be easy! There's so many storms here, so I assumed it'd be super easy to channel the power of a storm! It was supposed to be fun.

I'm not sure exactly what happened? What I remember was that I flew far into the air, and performed the spell...there was a flash of light? Then pain...really awful pain, and a feeling of falling...everything went black.

I woke up in a den. It was dark out, which meant I'd been out for some time. My body ached and burned, and I couldn't really move. My limbs were stiff, from disuse and the bandages wrapped around my body.

Someone must've heard my panicked yelling me wake, and a pretty coatl rushed in to calm me down check how I was. And no, I did not panic. I was just worried about where I was! And I was hurting!

Apparently I'd been saved from plummeting to my death by a couple dragons from this clan, the Skyfire Sanctuary. Why I was falling? My storm spell backfired on me, and I got struck by lightning. It burned a hole through one of my wings.

I was unconscious for a few days. The healers here weren't sure I'd make it. But I'm a strong dragon! Of course I made it! Not even a lightning bolt can hold my awesomeness down!

But it sucked. I couldn't fly, at least not until my wing can be repaired. And my numerous other electric burns heal. The coatl, Jade was her name, told me it would be a few weeks until I could continue my journey. Until then, I've been ordered to stay in bed.

I was so bored. Some other dragons came and kept me company at times. I found ways to keep myself entertained. One of them taught me how to created little flame lights! It was so cool...not that I said that out loud.

The few weeks went by slowly. By the time I had healed, I was too fidgety to stay any longer. As soon as the bandages were off, I was off! I'd stayed much too long anyway.
