Biography

Haunted Soul
Remus died during the Medieval Ages. After running and hiding for nearly a year, the town officials had finally found him living in an abandoned barn. They took him back to the square to first be publicly shamed before leading him to the dungeons. His death was prolonged. He avoids discussing it under any circumstance.

Certain types of restless souls had the capability of borderline returning to the land of the living. They can walk among the living, interact, and go about seemingly normal lives. Most do not bother learning how to pass on, if there is a way. If they were injured to the point of death, they would simply awaken in an area they deemed important and be left in pain for a bit after. A council of the dead governs these people, as well as other types of spirits, including poltergeists and the stereotypical "ghosts." And one day, they had enough of these spirits roaming around like they were still alive. They passed a law using magic and binding contracts, and made it so those who had this ability would be passed on to purgatory upon fatal injury.

At first, Remus was oblivious to the consequences of that.
