Tabatha has always had an obsession with art. Ever since she was a young hatching she would run around, watching every artist she could. Stowed away in her lair is her art collection, as she tucks away every spare coin she has to spend on her art. Most dragons don't know this, but she had tried her claw at painting once or twice...not that those will ever see the light of day. The reason this beauty wears white is that she believes it will help the color of the world around her pop even more. After all, who is she to disturb art?

B A C K S T O R Y
Her caretaker took to gifting her things that caught Tabatha’s eyes – a Bellus Glamourtail for a first familiar, Sylvan apparel that would enhance Tabatha’s pretty appearance. During her growing years, Tabatha decided she loved wearing white the most. White like a canvas that was yet to be filled, a painting not yet started. White, because who was Tabatha to disturb the world’s art? White would only make her own colours pop out more, as well as Sornieth’s colours and it was an honour for her to help in that. But along with her love for Art with a capital A, Tabatha also liked travelling. Again, perhaps that was due to her early days spent travelling from the Southern Icefield to the Tangled Woods, where she now lives in the Forum of Obscured Crescent with her adopted clan. But sometimes, in the dark of the night when only the stars and the shadows of the Shadowbinder are watching, she allows herself to wish, for only a few minutes, for a chance to leave the clan and see the world. She’d never abandon her friends or her mate, but travelling, at least for a few years, would allow her to witness what the rest of the Domains have to offer – to this day, it is still her dream, the one thing she keeps secret from everyone else – even Adair, despite their deep, tender relationship.  Tabatha stood in her lair, green eyes critically looking at the started painting in front of her – there was no easy way for a dragon to paint, but she did manage to find both an easel and a palette to put her watered down pigments on. The canvas, she traded against some of her shiny scales with a wandering shopkeeper, but now, she wondered if she’d wasted the time and the treasure. It just wasn’t right. Days now, she’d been trying to paint with her claws, free of their usual glowing gold tip she loved painting on them, and yet, every painting she did, it was never what she saw in her mind, never worth the art she saw daily everytime she got out of her lair. “No, no, no, it’s the wrong shade of orange,” she muttered to herself, wiping her claws into a cloth, “I need to find the right one...” She wasn’t even trying to do anything complicated: what she saw in her mind, whenever she let it wander, was usually quite the simple pictures. A sunset, over the dark trees of the Tangled Wood. A glowing orb of colours, full of raging fire or stormy rain. But nothing worked. No amount of paint, no matter how many times she tried, the results were always… Lesser. “I guess I’m not meant for painting… Maybe I’ll try sculpting instead,” she sighed, and slowly, painfully, she took every single one of her failures and buried them deep into her lair, where no one would see them. Disappointment tightened her throat, but she blinked it away. There was no regretting it – she tried and failed, such was the way of the world and its art. She’d simply have to find another gift for Adair’s birthday. She perked up, thinking back about the pretty ring she’d purchased a few days ago. “Ooooh yes, that’ll do. He’ll like the ring,” she whispered and walked enthusiastically toward the part of her hoard where she kept the jewellery. She smiled when she found it, as pretty as she remembered. She’d thought to incorperate it into a still life maybe, but Adair was sure to appreciate it and, well… He was possibly the one person she loved the most, after all. He deserved the best. “Maybe a pretty rose flowerfall too… Red, just like his clothes...” lore by Idha
