I got this bab from an Unhatched Nature egg a little while ago, my first EVER egg! Her colours are pretty unique, except for one exalted Mirror dragon lol.

I named her after the protagonist in Roald Dahl's book of the same name, Matilda. It was my favourite Roald Dahl book (close was Danny Champion of the World).

Matilda is the outspoken, precocious book lover of the clan. A frequenter of Ceres' library, Matilda's job is essentially running it! She uses a very complex filing system though, which only she seems to fully understand (something about Dewey Deci-Smell System). That being said, Matilda has taught Wanderer so the little Tundra can find her favourite adventure novels and non-fiction articles. Ceres is still learning however! Other Tundra in the clan have a rudimentary understanding, but those with less of a developed olfactory sense often have troubles.

Matilda is generally very nice but can be harsh with her words should a dragon mistreat their books or yell too loudly in the library. Woe betide you if you bring a book back late as well! She also handles the clan’s sporadically-open Adoption Agency too. She does her level best to find all of the children good homes! She's also friends with the alien entity named Transmissions, loaning 'her' non fiction books from time to time and discussing their inaccuracies. Matilda also tutored Alma, the Lair's most prolific scholar, in the library when the latter was a hatchling. Alma rivals Ceres in her understanding of Dewey Deci-Smell, but neither of them are a patch on Wanderer.

 Matilda is a children's novel by British writer Roald Dahl. Matilda won the Children's Book Award in 1999. It was published in 1988 by Jonathan Cape in London, with 232 pages and illustrations by Quentin Blake.

In 2012 Matilda was ranked number 30 among all-time children's novels in a survey published by School Library Journal, a monthly with primarily US audience. It was the first of four books by Dahl among the Top 100, more than any other writer.

It was adapted as an audio reading by actress Kate Winslet, a 1996 feature film directed by Danny DeVito, a two-part BBC Radio 4 programme starring Lauren Mote as Matilda, Emerald O'Hanrahan as Miss Honey, Nichola McAuliffe as Miss Trunchbull and narrated by Lenny Henry, and a 2010 musical.

The novel was made into the film Matilda in 1996. It was directed by Danny DeVito and starred Mara Wilson as Matilda. Although the film was not a box office success, it received critical acclaim at the time of its release, and holds a "fresh" rating of 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. DeVito portrayed Mr. Wormwood as well as the narrator.
