It is rumored that long ago, Skinless stripped the flesh from their lean bodies of their own volition, as a message to the rest of dragonkind that they were invulnerable to pain, and could not be frightened by the threat of violence. It has since become an inherent trait. Despite the horrifying appearance of the the Skinless, rest assured that they are not in discomfort. The exposed nerve endings of muscular and connective tissues are far less sensitive. Their surface vessels release rivulets of fresh blood, which help to cleanse dirt and bacteria amassed in a typical day. This emission is constant and accumulates as a tacky, clotted substance which covers them like a protective layer. They will avoid water at all costs, as washing away the bloody coating will leave them vulnerable to native infections.

The red fluid splattered in front of Pandemia's eyes. "There's no better way to start a day, is there?" - she asked her companion, Doolik, just to be answered with a glare. "That was my kill." - was the only thing male said the whole morning. "You're no fun, you know that? You're not mad, are you? I just chopped his head off..." - she asked, not even expecting an answer. As she predicted, Bogsneak didn't say a word. "Common! At least it was a fun game of hide and seek with this one..." - said Pandemia cheerfully - "They always try to run as fast and as far away as possible, but this fellow hid in this cave. Kek!". Doolik just sighed and walked past her, taking the head off the corpse and placing it in the bag. "Let's cash it in." - he said calmly, with no intention of speaking anymore after that. "Ehh? So I'll have to be only one talking the whole time again?" - said the female with a smirk. "Please don't..." - was what the male thought, but never said out loud.

Naturally, she did talk the whole way back, whether it was because she was bored or because she was just talkable like that or, maybe, just to annoy her companion was Doolik wondered every single day. He did ask once, but she wouldn't give him an answer, just laughing in his face, grinning like a child. She knew he wouldn't tolerate her at all if it weren't for the fact that she was skinless, just as he was. Unlike Pandemia who didn't particularly care, he was proud of his skinless self and he wished to continue his bloodline. And the best female around was the most childish one. So Pandemia pushed the limits, and every time she thought she hit the line he was willing to let her do as she pleases, she gets surprised, as he never once even yelled at her, much less became violent, regardless of her constant teasing and provoking.

Without a skin and hating water, Pandemia was not out of place while with her family, but as soon as she left her nesting grounds, even in Plague Territory, there weren't many dragons that didn't hate the look of the flesh, the smell of fresh blood and exposed meat so she didn't really have many friends. She had none. Better yet, she was bullied by some older kids. She held the anger and fear in until one day when she remembered what her mother told her. "If others think you can't defend yourself, they'll tear you apart!" As she was being hit, she finally had enough... In her fit of rage, she killed 3 young dragons that were hitting her just a few minutes before. Covered in blood that wasn't her for the first time, she felt nothing for the corpses lying next to her. She hadn't thought they deserved it, nor did she think she did the right thing. She didn't care. At that moment, she was simply excited over finally proving that she can be the one tearing other apart instead of trying to fit in.

The rumors fly fast, and soon nobody was around her. If she came to catch food, whoever has been hunting there moved further away, leaving the hunting grounds for her only... She was content not hanging out with those dragons, she didn't need their company, but she was lonely nonetheless. She thought she was hunting there alone, like every time before, but she was wrong. A smell of fresh blood was around her, and the flesh, much like her was easily seen through the grass. A Bogsneak with no skin and blood dripping off his belly was on grounds she considered hers...

This was the first time she felt conflicted. Should she attack him before he notices her or try to speak and actually make a friend? She decided that even if the male was bigger, she was faster, o if anything went wrong, she could just wound his legs and run away. As it turned out, the male was not really friendly but wasn't hostile either. She introduced herself and spoke to the Bogsneak, and the only thing she could get out of him was his name, Doolik and that he's looking for a mate of same species that is worthy of bearing his offspring. She giggled at his statement, saying that there aren't many around and that only ones she had seen were her family and that he was the first one that was unrelated to her that she had seen. Suspicious of the Pandemia, Bogsneak simply passed her and continued to catch prey. She simply waited until he was sated and followed him as he went his way. She knew he was annoyed by her presence, but he never said anything, so she followed. Doolik stopped next to the board to pick up some bounties, staring at them for a while and looking at the map posted on the board as well. "I know where those guys live... I could take you to them if you'd like? I'm quite familiar with this place." - said Pandemia looking the bounties over Doolks shoulder. After few moments of silence, Bogsneak answered her - "As long as you don't get in my way..." Even after few bounties, she is still standing by his side, stealing his kills now and then, much to his annoyance.
