CinnamonBun

This mythical, wish-granting being has traveled far from her home lair (Volrin, #261879), and she's off to fulfill the desires of dragons all across Sornieth! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to her home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!

Cinnamon Bun is a very moldable creature; she can be pretty much anything, from a favourite animal to a best friend. The form she takes depends entirely on the wishes of the dragon she's accompanying. The form she defaults to, being an orange and brown female Skydancer, is identical in appearance to her first "client" who died when her home lair was raided by Serthis. Cinnamon Bun has adopted her name, appearance, and pronouns to honour her memory.

Travel Log:

Cinnamon Bun is not what she appears to be, and in fact, isn't a dragon at all. She's actually a mythical creature whose purpose is to read into the futures of other beings, and accompany them in the form of their greatest desires before tragedy befalls them. It's a noble cause, giving somebody great joy before they're crushed by future events, but she laments that she can never tell them what's going to happen so she can prepare them for what's to come. All she can do is help them through whatever dark times they may soon be facing.

Contrary to what Autumn thinks, Cinnamon Bun actually first met him as a small group of vibrant monarch butterflies, having marveled an insect-loving pair of travelling Spirals shortly before they were cruelly led astray by parasites and separated from each other. She glanced over at him and could immediately feel the writhing, all-encompassing despair looming just ahead in his future, and knew he would soon need her help; she also saw the loneliness and longing gripping at his heart, and instantly had an idea for the form she would take to comfort him. Sure enough, in the next lair he visited, Autumn met the girl of his dreams. -Volrin

After having lost his two daughters, Autumn felt lonelier than ever. With the help of Cinnamon Bun and his daughters' mother, Siera, Autumn felt good enough to continue his traveling. However, he wanted to do it alone, which wouldn't be a bother - Cinnamon Bun knew that he didn't need her help anymore. In fact, another dragon had already caught her interest.

As usual, not in a romantic way.

His name was Warrior. He did not know it yet, but during their way to their next clan, he would get badly injured. And in order to survive, he would need her help. -Cvhruig

Cinnamon Bun and Warrior had gone their seperate ways, after spending a few months recuperating in a very hospitable Arcane clan. The lonesome Guardian had recieved directions to the home clan of a good friend of his, who had been separated from him at some point in their travels, and finding her was now his top priority. Cinnamon Bun gave him a fond goodbye as he trudged off to the Wind flight, while she returned to her travels as well, in search of new dragons who needed her help and comfort.

During a brief respite in the Light territory, Cinnamon Bun met up with her next client; a headstrong adventurer named Reef. The bold blue Bogsneak was eager for adventure and eager for battle, but little did he know, this thirst for combat would lead him right into the clutches of war. He still had some time; Cinnamon Bun could see in his future that he would visit a few more clans before getting caught up in lethal combat. Still, though, she decided to accompany him in the form of a midnight-scaled, battle-worn Guardian named Bruiser; a powerful, veteran warrior who would mentor him until his time to serve in combat came.

The trek to Clan Valtura was difficult, primary because Cinnamon Bun could feel the waves of pain and grief coming from them. She did what she could to prepare her companion for what was to come, but in truth she herself didn't know. She wondered if this was the war Reef was to participate in.

When they arrived, Cinnamon Bun's first reaction was relief, followed by a newfound worry. It was not war that had ravaged this clan, but disease.

Very soon she focused on Hirael, the gentle healer. His pain was great, made greater by is unusually keen ability to feel other's pain. She still had Reef to attend to, but she decided to take some time to ease the pain of the healer. The first night there, she crept away from the travelers den and into the healer's. She shifted back into a lovely orange skydancer as Hirael watched. But he could feel her intent, and was not afraid, only curious. Then, over the course of the night, she gifted him a wealth of healing knowledge. Hirael was deeply grateful, and listened attentively to every word. She returned to her own den just before daybreak. While she couldn't relieve his grief, she could restore his confidence and help him prevent this from happening again.
