Biography
I felt he looked very distinguished and almost clairvoyant as a hatchling holding his pearl. I was tossing up between Zodiac and Galileo for a bit until I researched famous 'seers'.
PAIRING LORE:
Nostradamus had been born with a gift. From a young age, his parents had sent him off into the world to make money off of it, in order to prep for more siblings and half siblings. His family was big and streetwise after all. Before he left, his parents had taught him how to use his pearl to see futures and predict fortunes. Nostradamus didn't much care for the cheap trickery, and his gifts didn't really match up with such 'divine marvels'. But, it put food in his stomach and funded his travels, so it was bearable.
His gift did, however, enable him to see the auras of other dragons. The brighter they were, the kinder and better-mannered the owner. It was this innate ability to see auras which did contribute to his divine fortune-telling, since he could make rough estimates based on what he could actually see. Eventually though he ran into a bit of trouble in the Sunbeam Ruins and migrated north, coming upon the lush glades of the Viridian Labyrinth and thus the Lair of Many References.
It was here that he met Opalescence, a beautiful older dragon with a companion in the Winter Wind. To him, her aura was simply dazzling, the brightest he had ever seen...it almost hurt to look at her. Yet, there was an underlying uncertainty to her actions and her expressions, like she was almost afraid to talk to him. She seemed earnest, and Nostradamus had to know why.
He didn't have much luck contacting her in the beginning. He noticed that she shied away after he caught her watching him at his studies. By this time, he'd resolved to shelve the divinity business and delve deeper into Astrology. Matilda, bless her aura, had lent him some books about it.
His suspicions were confirmed when Felicity, the nosy social butterfly, approached him and all but forced the pair of them into speaking with one another. Nos wasn't best pleased, but, her heart was in the right place (even if her aura wasn't completely).
They hit it off quite well, Opie and Nos, both as shy as the other at the start. They became fast friends, and slowly built up their relationship. Nos didn't seem to mind that Opie had kids. He'd come from a big family himself and not all of those were necessarily full-blooded relations. The pair of them plan on visiting some of Opie's older hatchlings at some point, perhaps after they've settled down and had a few of their own clutches.

Michel de Nostredame (depending on the source, 14 or 21 December 1503 – 2 July 1566), usually Latinised as Nostradamus, was a French physician and reputed seer who published collections of prophecies that have since become widely famous. He is best known for his book Les Propheties, the first edition of which appeared in 1555. Since the publication of this book, which has rarely been out of print since his death, Nostradamus has attracted a following that, along with much of the popular press, credits him with predicting many major world events. Most academic sources maintain that the associations made between world events and Nostradamus's quatrains are largely the result of misinterpretations or mistranslations (sometimes deliberate) or else are so tenuous as to render them useless as evidence of any genuine predictive power.
