Once, I was a dragon; the Dusk Clan was my charge, safe and secure beneath my wings. Now I am stone, carved and bound forever to guard my charge, as diligent in death as I was in life.

Kagoron's betrayal decimated Tuolos' clan, but the way of the Labyrinth is for new roots to fill the spaces left by the dead.

Aspen, a border mercenary at the time of the migration, saw an opportunity in the ambush and joined the fray to loot the clan. Whatever changed her mind was unclear, and Stone rarely spoke of the battle, but whenever hatchlings pressed her she would lower her voice and tell stories of the 'whispers from the woods'.

Her loyalty to Tuolos was unmatched and aggressive, and when Cavern finally led her revolt, she died by his side under the leaves of the Behemoth. Decades after her death, the Three demanded a statue be constructed in her honour as a reminder of the Gladekeeper's protection.

After Centuron's fall, Jademask led the clan back out of the Labyrinth, leaving the statue to disappear beneath new growth and old leaves.
