This robotic being dutifully follows its research team, using its sensors to scan for signs of life. It is ALWAYS listening.

Unit #: 33- 963 - 748, a robot that is assigned to a number of various research teams over the years. It has listened to the night sky for signs of extra terrestrial life, it has taken doppler readings for the storm chasers, and has even been used as a spying device. Normally Unit 33 is mute and obedient; unable to speak even if it wanted to beyond a limited set of phrases. Currently, it is out in the scrubland with a collection of other machines after having been lost from it’s team in a sandstorm. For the first time, it is actually happy.
