Celena skipped through the trees, grabbing and swinging on oddly shaped vines and branches that weren’t there before - disappearing not seconds after - as she made her way to visit her father. Flying was always an option and though she enjoyed spreading her wings, this never failed to give her joy. It was a surprise visit, so she’d have to be sneaky anyway.

Only, it was Celena who got surprised. And it was most certainly not a good one, unhappiness settling in her heart. She moves before she even knows what she is doing - but it didn’t matter, she can sense her father’s distress from here. Celena flies forward with a desperate speed, and eventually she sees her dad’s home.

She stumbles to a halt merely a few feet away from it, but suddenly her father gets flinged out of nowhere, landing near her feet. Celena stares at him in horror, he was badly injured and he was bleeding. Upon noticing her presence, her father staggers to his feet. Worry in his eyes and fear in his tone but not for himself.

Therron barks out, with an odd mix of desperation, fear and confusion, “Celena, what are you doing here!?” The female Fae met his gaze evenly as she could, stubborn as he but far more determined. “Does it really matter? It’s a good thing I did, Dad.” She states, voice even despite the thundering pound of her heart.

She hasn’t felt fear in such a long time, and it was almost nauseating to feel it so strongly this abruptly. Nonetheless, Celena looks toward the dragon assaulting her father not too long ago. The Dragon moves his claw off the ground and looking at the two Faes with unsettling eyes.

“Lena.. we both know we can’t take on a Wildclaw..” the older Fae trails off, stubborn as his daughter but, no, she’s much more stubborn. She answers back to him, defiant and ready, “Trust me. Let me help you.” He couldn’t help but crack a smile despite the threat that stood before them. “Together?” Celena smiles as she moves beside him and allows his weight to lean on her. ”Together.”

For a moment, silence reigns as Celena turns and meets the unsympathetic, terrifyingly amused gaze of the assaulter. She remembers her father’s battered body well - how could she not? Her dad was hurt, bloodied by the cruel dragon that stood before them.

The thought of it makes Celena cold. A sharp focus overcomes her, and malice towards the other dragon rises in her eyes.

“Please step away from my father,” is all that escapes her tongue. Though, it was one of the many words that she wishes she could scream aloud in rage. She wants to growl at him, tell him to back off, but she knew that would only make things worse. So she smiles, all sharp edges, tone deceptively light even as she plans his demise with nothing but a sweet smile. The Wildclaw looks at her, taunting her and mocking fear, towering over both Celena and her father as if he were looking at nothing more than bugs.

“Well, I mean, since you said please,” he mocks, claw tapping his chin as if in thought before nodding with a cruel edge to his smile, “but your father would make a delicious snack!” He cackles.

She says nothing, silence enveloping the scene, broken only by her father’s sharp gasps for air and the Wildclaw’s hum of amusement at her lack of rebuttal. Her eyes narrow, and she twists in arms in an array of shapes. The very air around her becomes sharper almost, creating a silhouette of a form that the three dragons recognized as an Imperial, all lethal elegance and deadly intent.

The she-dragon suddenly snarls at his previous words, a daring sound to the quiet around them. Though, the Imperial she summoned says nothing, eerily silent even with the armor that protected his ethereal body. But Celena knows he needs no armor, for she knows very few, if any, dragon knew how to harm her illusions. Celena stands tall, raises her head like a queen and levels her unforgiving gaze on the unforgiving Wildclaw.

“Then prepare to die by those words.”

The intricacies of her magic flowed through her veins, and it gave her power. With a simple flick of her wrist, the ghost-like Imperial moves forward to challenge the Wildclaw. Therron says nothing as he watches his assaulter before him - still bloodthirsty and staring at the Imperial with rage.

Celena breathes in deeply, loud and heavy as if the weight of the world were on her shoulders, and the Imperial moves once again. He moves like the ghost he is, silent and merely invisible. The summoned Imperial lunges and slashes at the Wildclaw’s shoulder, successfully making a hit. The Wildclaw hisses as he backs away, cradling the shallow gash. The Wildclaw bares their teeth in a snarl, determined to fight, determined to win, and determined to get their prey. But they messed with the wrong dragon.

Celena only narrows her eyes and throw an arm out to the side, as if cutting through the air. The Imperial suddenly darts down towards the Wildclaw, meeting them claws with unspoken anger.

“I won’t lose to some fake dragon!” the Wildclaw snarls out between breaths, despite the fact that they stared at the Imperial in panic. Celena smiles, frighteningly sweet. “Oh? Whoever said it was fake?”

Just as quickly as the words left her mouth, the Imperial charges forward once more, gliding along the earth, wings barely spread to take flight. It's claw lashes out, too fast for any to see, and the Wildclaw stumbles back with wide eyes that narrow in anger. Without better judgement, he loses his form and begins to strike out at every moment he gets, but it didn’t matter. The Imperial takes the damage like water to a rock. The Wildclaw’s claws phases through what they thought was solid, but ultimately left no mark. The Wildclaw snarls, as if an unstable fire, a burning hatred rising in their eyes.

But an untamed fire always burns itself away…

He lashes out again, the Imperial unaffected, before charging forward with reckless abandon. Composed and calculating, the ghostly Imperial simply squashes the Wildlaw during mid charge and holds him under his giant claw. The Imperial’s claws prickled at the Wildclaw’s neck, teeth bared and close to the Wildclaw’s exposed throat.

The Wildclaw’s blazing fire of anger fades as the Imperial puts more pressure, breaths coming harsher and blood trickling from their aching injuries. Therron gasps in horror, and anticipates for the worst. But Celena lifts her hand and the Imperial rises, allowing the Wildclaw to wheeze and gasp for breath desperately. Fearfully, the Wildclaw dares to get up and stares down the Fae warily.

“Don’t harm him again, and don’t even think of coming back here. Leave my father alone.”
Celena spat out, tone hard and unforgiving, relentless even when she chose to spare his life. The Wildclaw lets out a low whine and hesitates for a heartbeat before nodding shakily.

The Wildclaw turns and walks away, limping just as her father had done earlier, steps unsteady due to their injuries. As they flee, the Imperial begins to fade, a solid image becoming fainter and fainter, like a long-forgotten face until there was nothing left; no footsteps, no sound, not a single sign that he had ever been.

Celena turns helps her father, tone gentle and eyes soft. Therron stares back at her, with wide eyes and an agape mouth, as if he didn’t believe what just happened. “Don’t worry.. I doubt they’ll dare come back and show their face again. Even if they do, you have me and my ‘friend’ here.” She smiles, and hugs her dad. Embracing him for the first time since she was little.
