Lunarlyyt likes the bling of night life, which is why he chose a familiar who sparkles. He appreciates and collects (dare we say 'hoards'?) fine jewelry and considers himself a gentleman's pirate.

Lunarlyyt might be part pirate but he is definitely a Merdragon because he carries his own bit of the sea with him. His familiar, a crane (Apatite Fisher) named Bling, appreciates the ready tidbits as sometimes the fish within get too numerous which unfortunately makes Lunar a bit seasick. Theirs is a symbiotic relationship.

He accepted the task of naming the weyr in the lands of Emberglo with a suitable title and suggesting names for the clans. He was chosen because the other groups immediately got into quarrels over names. All he knew when he started was that the letter 'y' is a favorite here.
