Vasyl (pronounced vah-zeel) is quiet and modest, but he's proud of the cool colors of his dark, shadowy scales. He enjoys singing as a hobby, especially with and for his lovely husband, Vrael, who he sometimes will perform on stage with. It's not as much as a lifetime passion as it used to be, though, and now he's found love for a job that's less taxing on his voice; he's now an amateur tattoo artist who's working to get his customer base growing. He's new, but he'll get there someday.

In contrast to his husband, Vasyl was born in the eerie Wispwillow Grove of the Tangled Wood. His hide shows his origin as much as his eyes, inky dark with heavy splashes of blue and violet to match the vibrant mushrooms dotting the Grove. As quiet as he is, he also retains the love for tricks and teasing, though he much prefers simpler and harmless pranks instead of the massive events that take tons of planning. He left his home in the Tangled Wood when he was young, and much like the rest of the clan here was simply out with a lust for travel and adventure and eventually found Sakura's little caravan of travelling dragons. He quickly hit it off with Vrael, who after several years of dating as a mated pair, he proposed to and is now married to. He's settled down with the growing clan, now, and living life to the fullest with his friends, husband, and his little Peryton, Lilo.

Where Vrael fell in love suddenly, in one blinding moment, Vasyl fell in love slowly. From the day they met, they've been close friends, but there was always something simmering just under the surface for the dark-scaled Pearlcatcher. He'd watch the outgoing boy day after day, longing, knowing that someday Vrael would understand until one day, when they were alone under the stars, Vrael made him laugh--and then made a toast. "To us, forever?"

And Vasyl said, "I'd thought you'd never ask."
