PERSONALITY:
Hestia has an undeniable warmth to her. She's an excellent listener, and always welcomes company when she makes her rounds. Though her route is not the same every day, she is not hard to find by following the flames that flicker around her person and the humming that echoes down the halls.

She'll never burden anyone else with impossible dreams, but Hestia still yearns to explore. Just a little bit. Perhaps in another life, but here she is needed and here she will stay.

HISTORY:
Hestia's birthclan was a small, quiet thing on the outskirts of Ashfall. Young Hestia could see the smoke billowing out from distant forges. The fire husbandry her clan practiced wasn't as industrial as all that, and it inspired her.

At an age old enough to be independent but just too young to begin the Search, Hestia travelled to the Blacksand Annex to see first-hand the metalworks of her flight-mates. It was wonderful, the work they did and the things they made. From steel to ceramics, fire truly was a creator.

Nothing was more exciting than the day Hestia left home for good, to find her Charge. She'd already explored the Ashfall Wastes (a name she thought unfitting for her home, it wasn't a waste at all), and so she set her course through new territory: the Shifting Expanse.

Before Hestia could get too far, she spotted a mass of dragons traveling across the desert. How odd, she thought as she approached. Clan Stormbay had just lost their lair in a sabotaged cave-in. They were on the move, seeking a new place to call home. Having nothing better to do, Hestia agreed to journey with them and help them rebuild. It was awfully lonely, traveling alone.

As the clan moved, Hestia found herself quite useful. The clan had only one fire dragon, and he was no expert mage. It was nice, Hestia found, to feel needed. She made friends in Stormbay. When finally they found their new lair, she was responsible for lighting much of it with her flickering flames. The way the fire danced against the stone tunnels was charming.

It wasn't until she'd settled into her personal lair, a large fireplace at its center, that Hestia realized she'd found a home. It had been a short adventure, but her life with Stormbay was good, and fulfilling. She took the fires within the lair as her charge, and spends much of her time moving through the lair maintaining the magic to keep the tunnels lit.

CURRENT PLOTS:
Like her mate, Hestia is not a particularly weathy dragon. She doesn't mind, neither does she really feel the consequences of poverty. Hestia is quite popular within the clan, and enjoys their generousity. As far as she's concerned, the warmth of comraderie is all Hestia needs to burn brightly.
