I'm gonna give you the best greens in my garden

Helen was a real "wild child" in her youth- a dancer, a track and field star, a petty thief... let's just say she has some stories to share, though she doesn't like to tell the more delinquent ones.

Now, however, she's a simple farmer living on the outskirts of Square Toe with her husband Ned, her daughter Phyllis, and a pair of farmhands who might as well be adopted at this point. It's nothing special. There's a few fields of staple grains, a small orchard, a veggie garden and some well-tended and jealously guarded medicinal plants. Every inch is carefully tailored to get the maximum of plant matter from the minimum of water and land.

She still dances occasionally, sometimes in joint performances with Calypso, but mostly for only herself and Ned.

Ned is just as laidback as his wife, but with a higher tolerance for nonsense. Other dragons tend to assume his dislike of confrontation makes him a pushover, but they couldn't be more wrong.

Mary and Helen grew up together in Square Toe and have been close friends for as long as they can remember. Don't let appearances decieve you: these two middle-aged housewives chatting about their daughters over tea were once two teenaged hooligans tearing down main street, raising dust and feathers in their wake.

MARY

Despite being a self-confessed 'city girl' with governmental ambitions, Helen's daughter regularly takes time off of her busy schedule to come home and help out around the farm.
