A remarkable sorcerer on any given day, Damask is known to shine in adversity. His skills come from long hours in libraries and longer ones on the road testing and trying new and interesting theories. While many dragons think that only those born in the Starfall Isles are blessed with skills to shape and reshape the natural order, Damask is one of the few dragons to prove the falsehood in that assumption. He is most at home amid ancient texts and forgotten pictograms, working his way through tombs and tomes in search of more knowledge and more skill. There are rumors he has faced down a dracolich, rescued damsels aplenty, and angered the gods themselves. He is a notorious thief and liar, and his truths are often obscured amidst the falsehoods he leads others to believe. He travels the sands with his mate, Jacquard, and their companion, Ailbe. They roam the shifting dunes of the deadlands in Dragonhome, finding solace and safety in the vast wastes beyond the shadow of the Pillar. He is given to an active and clever mind, including a quick tongue and a quicker wit, though his capacity for laziness and indulgence is rarely sated. |

Jacquard - Damask's mate, she was trained as a celestial servant to the gods but renounced her mantle before her final oaths could be completed. Her spirit is tethered to her body by the workings of Damask's magics, and the pair are on the run from her former teachers and the gods themselves. Damask values her clear head, clever tongue, and seemingly endless patience. He is admittedly fond of her manners as well, though knows those are the fault of an institution he detests. The two have recently fallen in with a sellsword and hawk their wares across the deserts of Dragonhome for travelers of all sorts. |

Ailbe - A sellsword, Damask once saved his life from a bonelich that Ailbe had inadvertently roused. Ailbe feels he owes Damask a life debt, and has taken up the protection of both Damask and Jacquard as his purpose in life. He is mostly reserved, though in a fight quite wild and fierce. While he is not always the most thoughtful of dragons, his heart is in the right place. |

Sensyn - A well-known hedgewizard that calls Oakrest his home, Sensyn is Damask's greatest rival. Damask finds Sensyn a fascinating collection of sometimes-conflicting personality traits with a vast breadth of knowledge regarding hexes, enchantments, and potions of all types. Damask is always keen to stop in and see his shop when he is in Oakrest, and there he trades knowledge and artifacts for coin. Damask assumes the two dragons are the same skydancer, as many do. In truth, Sen and Syn both respect him equally, but for different reasons. Sen appreciates his keen mind, and Syn enjoys his capacity for trouble-making. |

- He is thick-boned for a coatl, and there is a softness to him that is not found among his traveling companions. He does like to eat and not exercise, so there's that. - He is missing the smallest finger on his left hand from a spell that went awry. Depending on his whim, he will retell the story as a missed trap, a deal gone bad, or a little bit of experimenting that got away from him. |
