Biography

Hello. I am WC34580273, but I'd rather if you called me Hoax.

I remember an impact. I remember dirt in my face and sticks cutting through my scales, but before that? I haven't the slightest clue. There is nothing. It's like I didn't exist, or maybe wasn't awake.
After the crash I remember waking up in thick grass, sounded by a massive bamboo forest, all alone - And it was absolutely thrilling.

I don't know what it's like to hatch, but I imagine it feels somewhat similar. I think it was my first time really seeing the world. All the colors, the textures, the sounds and smells. I ran my claws through the grass, I smelled the start of a rainstorm in the distance, watched in wonder as a bug slowly made its way past me.
I was taken aback by the sight of very shiny wings on my back as I stood up. It took me a moment to realize that they mine! I slowly moved them, and it hurt, but I didn't mind.
Something small and shinny flicked back and forth beyond my wings. I watched it, fascinated, until I realized it was my own tail plume!

I sat there just watching the world, I have no idea how long, until a voice broke the silence.
"Excuse me?"
I turned to look at the source. A fluffy blue and brown dragon stood next to me.
"Do you need help?"
Somehow I found words. I'm sure I'd used them before. "Help?" I asked.
"Your wings! Your wings are bleeding!"
"Oh..."
"Can I help you? I have a first aid kit in my bag."
I wasn't sure how to respond. Did I really need help? I thought about declining his offer, but I wasn't sure I wanted him to leave just yet. "...Yes?"

He sat down at my side, his fluff bouncing as it hit the ground.
"Okay, I have to clean these cuts, and it might sting a little," He pulled fabrics and bottles out of his bag. The dragon showed them to me before tearing open their packaging, "this will keep it from getting infected though, so it's important."

I cringed as he set soaked bandages on my wings, but I didn't move.
I watched with just as much wonder as he cleaned and wrapped up my injuries. He smiled and chatted as he worked. He explained how the wind magic brought bad storms sometimes, how he'd found plenty of dragons who'd been blown off course or crashed, and how his clan was full of dragon's who'd either grown up in the wind, or crashed and decided not to leave.

He patted my wing as he finished the last bandage. "There, all better, right?"
I wasn't sure what to say, so I didn't say anything.
This seemed to bother my new friend. "Well you know what my lair's medic always says? She says even the toughest dragons feel better after a hug!" He then sat back on his haunches and held both paws out wide in a very awkward stance.
Needless to say I was still very confused.
He persisted. "Can I give you a hug?"
I hesitated. "... Will it hurt?"
"Um, no."
"Is it important?"
"It might be!"
"... Then I guess you can?"
I was promptly engulfed in fur as the little dragon wrapped both forelegs and both wings around me.
It was like being wrapped in a big soft blanket. A big soft blanket that purred when you touched it. I leaned into him, and found myself hugging him back.
He patted my back and let go, and weirdly enough, my wings did fell a little better.

"Well now, you seem a little turned around. Where were you headed? Maybe I could draw you a map!"
"I don't know where I was headed."
"You don't know? Oh that's not good. Oh no, I hope you didn't get hurt in that hurricane!" He gently patted my head, as if feeling for another injury. "Do you have a safe place to go?"
I wasn't sure what that meant, so my response was the same. "I don't know?"
He put his fluffy paws on his hips in a dramatic way. "Well that won't do at all. Come on, I'll take you to a real medic!"

We walked a very long time. He eventually led me down a rocky slope, through a forest of bamboo, and up several flights of well hidden bamboo steps. The fluffy dragon sat back on his hind legs and swung a big metal door knocker.

A very big and spiky dragon answered. "Oh, Vronti! Back for another sleeping potion are you?- Oh my, who's this?" She stepped out and leaned down to examine my back and wings, "Are you alright dear?"
I didn't speak, so my fluffy companion did. "I found her all they way out on the border! And I'm willing to bet she doesn't know her name."
The big dragon gave me a very sympathetic look. "Is that true, dear?"
My mouth answered before I could think about my words. "WC34580273."

Both of the other dragons gave me vacant and confused looks. My fluffy friend looked to the spiky dragon for explanation.

"Well," The spiky dragon clapped both forepaws together, "whoever you are, we can't leave you out here with your wings all bandaged up like that. Come on in, both of you!"
