Poets are damned, but see with the eyes of angels ____________ Araxie was a awe-striking hatchling, and from her birth to her teen years she had multiple suitors attempt to win her heart. Some went as far as to go behind her back and gain her parents favor, requesting an arranged marriages. Luckily Xies' parents were simple and gentle folks, wanting only the best for their daughter. Xie was introverted and elegant; she preferred to be alone by water with her journal. She was a talented poet leaving those who read her works to believe she was connected to the Tidelord himself. A particular suitor did not handle her rejection well, he became violent and cruel to her and her family. One day he attacked her as she wrote by the river, throwing acid into her eyes rendering her blind and leaving her to fend for herself. Araxie fell into the river, her clothes dragging her through the currents. She had been lost to the Tides for many years before she was resurrected. The Arcanist had found a water stained tome, within the crumpled pages read some of the most profound literature written by a simple dragon. He then spent many more years to find the origins of the book, disappointed by the short life of its writer he brought her to the Araceli realm to live the rest of her days. Araxie had a very difficult time adjusting to being blind, her shy nature didn't allow her to easily ask others for help. Upon praying to the Arcanist he granted her the gift of sight through magic. He left her enchanted candles powered by the lapis pendant crown, allowing her to see wherever she wills the candles to go. With this new sight she became more adventurous, connecting to her new clan and new home. In particular a pair of Guards by the name of Axenus and Vedis, and with a few months of training she was on the field with them. Araxie is a apart of a team filling the role of Scout - sending her candles forth to detect danger and treasures where no one else on the team can go.
