Children
Mina and her brother Imp were the last children Peryite ever thought he would have. The old dragon was always cold to their mother, although the reasons for this could never be adequately explained. Their father was the advisor to the Queen, and his high rank afforded the two of them privileges which most of the children of the clan did not have. Stability, comfort, and choice were theirs. Their father could provide them little more than this, however, as his duties made him always busy and absent. Their mother more than made up for his inability to be as attentive as he would have liked.

Throughout their youth, the pair were quite inseparable. When they had free time, which was not often as there were heavy expectations on them, their favorite thing to do was to make sport of their older brother Roden, who was the Steward of the Scar Wind Keep. One fun game was to misplace his things when he was not around or to eat the bugs out of his salads and replace them with tiny fish, which he found revolting. Imp was often the one who got in trouble for these antics, and Roden claimed that none of his other siblings had ever been quite so terrible. Mina was not blameless in all of this, and got up to just as much trouble as her brother, but tended to go unpunished or unnoticed. Everyone just expected Imp to be the troublemaker.
Wyrmwound
When Imp hatched he was exceptionally large, though this came as no surprise as his egg had likewise swollen to be larger than average. When the incubating green pustule was finally breached, all dragons within the nesting grounds were overcome with nausea from the horrid stench. Two parents overseeing a nearby nest vomited as a result. They were not Plague natives.

The Broodwatcher, who had already been fretting over the unusually runty female which had hatched moments prior, now had a more extreme matter to contend with. Concerned for the girl's health, he immediately removed her from the nest, rather than waiting for the mother's arrival.

The incubating fluid had clearly been infected, and the hatchling was terribly ill. Eideif felt his heart sink, as it seemed likely then that neither hatchling would survive. The Broodwatcher though was never one to falter even in situations which were truly hopeless. Besides this hatchling was the child of the highest ranking dragon in the clan besides the Queen and her brother. That meant that Eideif could call on greater resources than he might have for another child (though that knowledge never failed to make Eideif a little bitter). Imp was taken to the high priestess for care.

Seikte was able to care for the hatchling, but he seemed extraordinarily prone to disease. The slightest exposure seemed to result in infection and his body seemed to be an active cauldron of new mutation and creation. For a long time, the only dragons he knew were Seikte and his parents, who were only rarely permitted to visit.

Eventually, the priestess managed to settle the inner turmoil. By that time it had been discovered that his sister was his opposite, she seemed completely immune to disease. The two became inseparable, with Mina spending as much time as possible in the depths of Seikte's domain with her brother.

In time, with training in plague magic from Siekte, Imp was able to control the plagues which he was afflicted with. He was hailed as a great sign and blessing from the Plaguebringer by the clan and had managed to gain great strength from his ordeal.

Invoker of Illness
Imp studied plague magic extensively and expanded his understanding of all manner of disease and interactions within biological creatures. He sought to hone his skill as a powerful mage and often tested himself in battle against other dragons, spellcasters and warriors alike. As he gained mastery and power his scales cracked revealing raw fetid pools of plague fluids which he could draw upon for offensive magic, and use as a deterrent against physical attack.

He eventually apprenticed under the clan's King, though he had resisted doing so for awhile. The King had authority, but was ill-favored by most, Imp included. He did not think a Light dragon could possibly have anything to teach him about plague magic. It was Mina who convinced him otherwise, as she had studied with him to learn healing techniques, as he was the clan's most powerful healer. She insisted that such a narrow view would stunt his potential and that the King would have a lot to offer him.

Imp's work with the king swiftly proved his sister right. The Golden-eyed king's magic may not have been granted to him by the Plaguebringer, but his depth of understanding and his adaptability was the match of any plague dragon. As his studies with the king drew near their end, he reflected on all the Light dragon had taught him. There was much he could learn from the masters of other elements.

He had become a powerful mage, a slinger of deadly spells and withering curses. This was only the beginning, though. He was still young, and there was much to learn. Sorneith had so much to offer him... to offer anyone who had the strength and will to take it.
