Ileani the Lonely
|
History Perhaps the stars had aligned at the time of Ileani's birth as it seems that she was destined to find Agartha. Soon after she hatched, Ileani learned about her heritage. Her father, a powerful magic user. Her mother, a strong and fearsome Night Warrior. Alas, Ileani's colors were too bright for her to follow in her mother's footsteps. In hopes of making her parents proud, Ileani vowed to master her own magic and to also become a fearsome warrior. She set off on her own journey as soon as all her adult feathers grew in and she could fly long distances. As she made her way out of the Shifting Expanse, she encountered a charming Wildclaw by the name of Lancelin who had come from the Viridian Labyrinth. Enamored, Ileani joined his travels for a while. Lancelin was her first love, but she was too nervous to speak to him face to face. She would only communicate with him by looking at him from her mirror and speaking to his reflection. Lancelin taught Ileani how to fight and how to control her magic. She and Lancelin grew closer and closer. On the day that she decided she was brave enough to speak with Lancelin face to face they had been travelling through the Tangled Wood. Ileani, turning to speak, was cut short as tragedy struck before she could even utter the words forming in her mouth. They had wandered too close into the territory of a BeastClan. Before her eyes, shadows swiftly fell the wildclaw and carried him away into the darkness. She turned and swiftly flew out of the dense forest, branches and leaves catching at her wings and body. She collapsed at the very edge of a giant tide pool and sank blissfully into oblivion. Ileani cannot remember exactly what happened but she assumes some dragon took pity on her and dragged her to safety. She only recalls a blue glimmer and a flash of white. A comforting voice with words she cannot make out. When she fully wakes up, Ileani is floating across the sea on an ice floe. Her mirror is next to her with the words "Agartha" newly engraved on the handle. "Agartha?" The moment the words were spoken, a small island seemed to materialize out of the heavy mist right before her eyes. A gentle current pulled her ice floe to shore where a beautiful Pearlcatcher stood, waiting. The Pearlcatcher smiled gently at Ileani, "Welcome to Agartha. May you find your home with us here in this distant world." |
