Alone, he entered the mist, leaving behind his safe haven. Seeker of the unknown, lover of the uncertain, Kamaji was an adventurer. His curiosity outweighed his common sense, but led him to many things; riches and gold, but also danger and death. Day had come and gone, leaving the heaviness of night fall. For days he had prepared, trained, and perfected every move. Boldness and pride filled him as he snuck off, determined to prove them wrong. He knew he wasn’t too young, not too immature, and definitely not too unskilled. A crack awakened him from his prideful thoughts. Silence weighed him down, crushing every notion of ease. He whipped around, his eyes glowing with anticipation. Burning pain slashes through and terror fills his mind. Claws wrench him back, suffocating him with darkness. The pain is unbearable, crushing every piece of hope left. Defeated, he returns, but he secret shall stay where he left it. Bandages cover his scars, but nothing can heal the pride he lost that day.

When Kamaji was just a young hatchling, he was tired of being different. He knew that he was from the Ice flight, one that was very different from the fire flight he now lived in. He felt as though he needed to prove himself, be worthy of his new home. One day, as Coral, Anura, and Galaix left for the coliseum, he snuck off and followed them. For hours and hours, he walked through the peacefulness of the meadows, the calmness of the forest, and dashed away from the older dragons in the scorched woods. As he ran, time seemed to fly by. Left and right, down and up, nothing was clear anymore. He kept going in circles. Night fell, and Kamaji was still lost. Finally, he wandered into the Harpys roost. Scared, he walked around, to tired to lift his wings. A crack from behind him awoke him from his fearful thoughts, and his mental state changed to pride again. He could come back a hero! He turned to his left, a mistake of his own. The Sunspot Cloudancer screamed, claws out for a fight. Too weak, Kamaji took the full force of the blow. The claws ripped out his left eye, tore deep scratches down his throat and vocal cords, ripped his left wing to shreds, gouged out deep rips in his legs and tail, and broke his left horn. As it was coming in for the kill, a guardian jumped in the way. Taking scratches upon his shoulders and back, as well as taking one over his eye. The Sunspot Clouddancer left them, and Kamaji passed out. When he awoke, he was in the medical center, Clover was there. He discovered he lost his eye, his horn, and would never fly again. He re-learned how to walk, to move his tail, to smile and frown and speak. The guardian that saved him was named Galaix, one of the coliseum fighters. He heard that the imperial that joined their flight had run-away, and had an idea where he went. Kamaji was grateful, and decided to live his life to the fullest. He became mates with an amazing fae named Maggie, had a son named Nightfly, and three adorable grandkids. This was when Clover took him to a doctor, and although Kamaji refused to bring his eye, horn, and wings back, he allowed for his nerves to be reconnected. He's now able to fully talk, smile, laugh, and move, although he prefers to stay in the hospital for safety reasons. He doesn't talk a lot, and he loves gardening and talking with his grandson, Nightfish, about the research done, and he takes walks with his mate and son when he feels well enough.
