Ravage is not a dragon anyone would like to meet. She has a reputation within the Clan of Lost Knowledge for being the closest thing to pure evil the clan had ever faced.
Ravage was raised by a vicious organization of dragons calling themselves the Howling Storm. She was raised with the philosophy that a dragon's worth was determined through strength alone, and if you weren't strong, you didn't deserve to live.
Even as a hatchling, Ravage was never sweet or innocent. She and the other hatchlings in the Howling Storm were attacked and tormented by the older dragons every day, an early form of twisted test to see how strong the hatchlings were. Those who survived were praised. Those who were crippled or died were left to rot.
Ravage had eventually developed a resistance to pain and sickness. Being born in the Plaguebringer's domain, Ravage was naturally skilled at surviving through sicknesses and injuries, among other things.
But when Ravage found that most of the suffering had left her, she felt like something was missing. The pain, which had been such a large part of her youngest years, had almost completely subsided.
It was then that Ravage decided that if she could no longer suffer as she had before, she would inflict it on other dragons. She didn't mean harm at first- she had intended to help other dragons build up the same resistance as she had. But as time went on, Ravage grew to enjoy the pain of other dragons. She wanted them to suffer as she had suffered, she wanted to hear their screams and see their blood. She liked knowing that she was this dangerous, that she could do this to anyone at any time and there was nothing they could do to stop her.

The only dragon that truly understood Ravage was Wraith, a Ridgeback that had been raised alongside Ravage. Wraith shared Ravage's feelings, the violence and bloodlust. It was then that they decided they'd infiltrate a nearby clan together, and help the Howling Storm take as many prisoners as possible.
The Clan of Lost Knowledge had a reputation for, well, being knowledgeable. Ravage had heard that they devoted their lives to protecting and studying magic. Ravage knew the Howling Storm would greatly benefit from that much knowledge and power.
They arrived at the Clan of Lost Knowledge wounded and unarmed. Ravage told the clan's leader Kismet that she and Wraith had been imprisoned by the Howling Storm until they finally escaped and found the clan. Kismet believed them, taking pity on the wounded dragonesses.
With Kismet's trust earned, Ravage and Wraith moved on to the rest of the clan. Wraith used her charm to win over the affection of Kismet's heir Aspen, while Ravage joined a group of clan warriors battle training, earning the trust of all of them.
But there was one dragon that Ravage couldn't win over- Sericum, Prince Aspen's servant. Sericum never trusted Ravage, even after several other dragons of the clan began to adore her. It wasn't until Sericum was nearly imprisoned for her multiple accusations against Ravage that someone else found evidence of Ravage's intentions- Vertigo, Aspen's sister, found a letter written by Featherfern, deputy of the Howling Storm, asking Ravage if she had discovered anything important. Ravage and Wraith fled the clan, taking two dragons with them- Flurry, one of the clan's warriors, and Kismet's heir Aspen.

Ravage grudgingly decided that it was safer to leave Aspen unharmed, at least for now. If Kismet's son was harmed in any way, Ravage was certain Kismet would destroy them all. But as for Flurry, he had no blood relations within the clan. He would be safe to kill.
But while Ravage longed for the clan warrior's death, Wraith talked her out of it. Wraith decided it would be much smarter to keep him alive, and find out everything he knew about the clan's secrets.
Ravage and Wraith took turns torturing the young warrior. Flurry was surprisingly strong, but Ravage was stronger. It took a few hours, but Flurry eventually told Ravage one important piece of information- the location of the secret entrances to the clan's camp; the perfect places to have an ambush.
But Ravage didn't get to enjoy her victory. A patrol of clan warriors attacked their hidden camp, and Aspen and Flurry both escaped.

Several weeks passed while the Howling Storm waited for to strike.
Almost two months passed before the Clan of Lost Knowledge sent a spy to the Howling Storm. It was Stalactite, one of the clan's warriors. But Ravage knew something that the Clan didn't- she knew two things that they didn't. She knew that Stalactite was the son of Stormstrike... and that Stormstrike had been spying for the Howling Storm all along.
Ravage knew she'd be dead in a heartbeat if she harmed Stalactite. But Featherfern had given her strict orders to imprison and interrogate the clan spy.
Ravage was torn between loyalty to Stormstrike and loyalty to Featherfern. She singled out Stalactite, telling him that she knew of his plan, and warning him that he'd have a blood-soaked fate if he ever returned to the Howling Storm. Stalactite fled back to the clan, still unaware that his father was a traitor.

Ravage needed a new plan. She decided to tell Featherfern that she had tortured the spy anyway, and that the Clan wanted nothing more to do with the Howling Storm. She said that the clan had abandoned their territory, fleeing the Howling Storm.
But there was one flaw in her plan- Stormstrike. The Imperial turned out to be a much better spy than Ravage. He knew the Clan still thrived in their territory. And he knew that Ravage had let Stalactite free unharmed.
Ravage was exiled from the Howling Storm, alongside Wraith who was exiled for helping her.
They wandered for months as rogues, with nowhere to go and no one to trust. It was then that Ravage knew what she had to do.

Ravage began plotting her vengeance on the clan, as well as the Howling Storm. She no longer hungered for the pain and bloodshed of other dragons- she only wanted to see everyone who had wronged her die under her talons. She wanted to destroy everyone who had destroyed her own life.
She and Wraith attacked small patrols from the clan and the Howling Storm. They killed one or two dragons at a time, leaving messages that she would return and destroy them all.
Ravage would never stop until she was satisfied- but that's the thing. She would never be satisfied. She would never be finished spreading blood across Sornieth.
She would never be finished until everyone who had wronged her lay dead at her talons.
