Charge: The LilyCatcher Clan Place Of Residence: A cave near a giant patch of lilies Companion: Day the Sprouting Goblin |
Her strong paws trod heavily on the lush, cool grasses of the flourishing forest. Her name was PaleDawn. She was a Guardian. This domain was home to the Nature Flight and was watched over by a powerful dragon called the Gladekeeper. This was all she knew. That, and the fact that she needed a charge. Eventually, as she continued her seemingly endless walking, the young dragon came upon a small clearing. It was filled with flowers of all shapes, colors, and sizes. A gentle breeze drifted through the area as PaleDawn gently stepped in. She ceased her walking and bent her long neck down to sniff the flowers below. As she did this, the gentle breeze turned into a short but strong gust of wind, which pulled a few petals from their home. PaleDawn lifted her head and watched as a few lily petals danced in the breeze, soon leaving the clearing. Feeling an odd, strong pull to these departing petals, the Guardian followed them through the trees and back into the dense, flourishing forest. The lily petals soon guided her to another clearing. It was wide and spacious and flourishing with life. As she stepped forward, a few local fauna scampered off to nearby cover. PaleDawn looked around. There were so many flowers of every shape, size, and variety present. However, there was one flower that she was unexpectedly drawn to. A pale lily planted in the middle of the clearing. The Guardian trod over to the flower and bent her head down to it. As she breathed in it's sweet scent, flashes appeared in her mind. Flashes of memories and events to be made. With other dragons. She stumbled at the shock of so many things being presented to her at once. Her vision then went black. She still felt the lush grass underfoot and still smelled the scents of the forest, but she could no longer see and felt frozen to the spot. Through the murky blackness, PaleDawn spotted a pair of eyes. They were a calming green. Suddenly, everything became clear to her. She would start her own 'clan'. Her charge would be the dragons present within it. She would watch it flourish and grow with life of every shape and form, just as the forest does. The green eyes blinked slowly, almost seeming to acknowledge and accept PaleDawn's revelation. They faded away as soon as they had come and PaleDawn was left in the inky black once more. She could no longer sense the world around her. ~~~ "Miss? Ohh, Miss??" squeaked a voice. "Ohh, please please tell me you're okay??" It was so strange and monotone. . . PaleDawn slowly opened her eyes. As the world slowly came into focus, she could see. . . something perched upon her snout. "Oh thank the Gladekeeper, you're actually alive. I mean, you were breathing, but you were not moving otherwise!" the thing squeaked. "Wh-What?" PaleDawn murmured. She lifted her head up off of the ground. It turns out she had been lying on the grass beneath her. Disoriented, she shook her head to clear it. "Woa, woa. Be careful." said the monotone thing. She could now see it flapping various frills along it's body. Regaining it's grip on PaleDawn's massive snout, it spoke again in that strange monotone voice. "Well. I suppose I may as well introduce myself. I am Dewdrop, a Fae dragon." A Fae, then. . . "Uhm. . . I am. . . PaleDawn, I believe. . . May I ask why you're here. . .?" "Oh, well. . . I'm not entirely sure. . ." The Fae responded. "Should I ask why you are here?" At this, PaleDawn cracked a small smile. Looking around once more, she spotted the same pale-colored lily as before. From this lower angle, she could now see a much smaller lily sprouting from the ground next to it. "I believe I know. . . How does living in a clan sound. . .?" |
