"Quote"
He drowned out his past, And let the music consume him. His body like liquid, Flowing to the rhythm, Twisting without effort. Like silk on a breeze. His father, Sisters, Mother, Gone. Nothing was left, Except him and the music. |

Comes from Hakai no sozokujin, roughly meaning heir of destruction Hakujin goes to Hajin, and the h becomes silent to make his nickname "Ajin" Lore WIP As the son of Miras, he's expected to take over once his father steps down, or to rule at his father's side. Unfortunately, as much as Ajin can reform matter, he can't seem to get to the step of turning it into a black hole like his father can, and as a result, Ajin is stuck creating things that resemble stars, or simply transmuting a material into another form. He has lost favor with his father as a result of being unable to follow the same magical processes, and is seen as unworthy of training. Even though he's the oldest, his sisters get most of the attention. Eventually, he figured that he'd be eliminated by his father for being useless. With his sisters growing more and more violent toward him, and his mother growing continuously more distant, he decided it was time to leave. A Caravan of desert dancers, the Raquinta, arrived to preform in the capitol, and Hakujin made his move. He asked his mother if he could go to see the festival, and was allowed to go with one of his guards. Using his magic to blind the guard, he ran away, hiding in a Raquinta wagon. As the caravan was packing, they discovered the young prince. He quickly claimed to be a peasant. A homeless boy with nowhere to go. The Raquinta took him in. That was in his twelfth year. He learned how to dance with the Raquinta, taking to the music easily. Eventually, he made friends with Horatia, an Opal cursed Nocturne. Horatia was in charge of giving the Raquinta gold markings and tattoos, as was a tradition of theirs. When Ajin was finally accepted as a full dancer for the caravan, he received the gold markings that traced along his dark skin. They are thin strands of opal embedded in his body, and will never fade. He dances alongside a few other Raquinta, most commonly with Akori. The two of them are Imperials, and match each other in size and grace. They both also have extensive markings across their bodies, far more than most of the other Raquinta. The two are a wonder to see on stage. Here, he hopes to forget his failures of his past. With the Raquinta, he is free and at peace... but all peace will eventually come to an end. With his father still out there, Ajin knows it's only a matter of time before he's called away from this simple life. The only question is how that will happen. |

Kids were laughing in my classes
While I was scheming for the masses Who do you think you are? Dreaming 'bout being a big star They say you're basic, they say you're easy You're always riding in the back seat Now I'm smiling from the stage while You were clapping in the nose bleeds Song |

The Dancer
The performance was a simple one, practiced and fluid. The music moved him like the tide moved water. Magic flowed within, spheres of gold and silver flickering into existence at his whim. Silks connected his body to his partner’s, swirling between them as thread connected spirits. Bells marked their steps from ankles, keeping the two synchronized.
They moved as one. The flute their breath, the drum their heart, the oud their soul.
The music was all. As it should be.
