*Crunch*, *Crunch*, *Crunch*...
The sound of snow under her feet was the only thing that Jaleed heard since she started going up the Cloudscrape Crags. The mountains were steep, her walk unsteady, but she was determined to reach her goal. She will grasp the power she had seen, the grace of the creature she witnessed saving her from the bear which tried to eat her. Fur, as white as snow, and black spots which were darker than the deepest caves. The grace of a feline and strength of a dragon, the majestic creature was a Snow Jaguar. Creature seen only in storybooks and heard of in legends, or so it was thought. She knew better, which is why she was so eager to reach the Jaguars cave.
As she neared closer, the blizzard started, forcing her to look for a temporary hideout. The best she could find in the hurry was a medium pile of rock, which should protect her from blowing wind and cold. With nothing to do, she went over the event once again in her thoughts.
"A bear attacked me, as I was walking on the path to Snowsquall Tundra. I couldn't run away by flying because my wings are stiff frozen and it's impossible to fly in that condition. It managed to get a hold of my tail, injuring it slightly, nothing much, just a scratch. As I tried to run, it chased. I hit a few branches while running, hearing the bear closing in on me. In one moment, the bear squilled, as if it were attacked. I thought that it was impossible since there's nothing that could hurt a bear, other than a pair or more dragons. Taking the risk, I slowly turned, just to see the bear lying on the ground, struggling to get up and a white, spotted feline creature next to it, with the bloodied jaw. The bears back legs were wounded and couldn't support his weight. As I tried to get a closer look, the feline creature started running towards the nearby cliff, and it jumped down. In disbelief, I walked closer to the cliff, still keeping an eye on the bear, and I looked down to see what drove the feline to jump. There was only snow, ice and... a dragon. The dragon looked up briefly, looking into my eyes, and flew away, to somewhere around one of the tops of Cloudscrape Crags mountain chain. "

Untitled-2.png The blizzard calmed down, so she continued her chase after the mysterious dragon. He had to know something of the beast that saved her and, to her, that was enough to risk her life looking for him. She had no reason for coming to these frozen lands other than sightseeing, and that almost cost her her life, but the sight she saw was worth it.

After a long, steep climb, she finally found what looked like a cave, capable of being used as a residence. She yelled - "Hello!?", but received no answer.
The thought of the dragon leaving to get something from outside was being created in her mind but was cut short by the sounds she soon heard. A loud growl and step could've been heard from inside the cave, but she couldn't see the source due to the darkness inside. The stepped back a bit, scared, but determined to see this through instead of running away. A dragon, much like the one she saw, was coming towards her. Unlike the one before, this one was covered in fur and had - had spots! Just as if he fused with the Jaguar...
"What is this young, weak one looking for here?" - asked the steady voice. Jaleed looked him straight into the eyes and simply said - "I wish to know."
As suspicious as she looked to the dragon, she looked equally determined, and, after a long silence, he let her into his lair. She learned of Naguals, the shapeshifters, who were capable of partially or completely shapeshifting into an animal. He was a Snow Jaguar Nagual, who taught her of ancient magic and tested her endlessly. He wouldn't share the power with someone who'd do evil deeds, and he assessed how Jaleed fared during the tests he made her go through, many of which, she was unaware. And she passed all of them, with him concluding that she, indeed, wished the power just because she wanted to be able to protect herself from harm and because she thought the Jaguar form was a beautiful sight. It wasn't as heroic as wising to bring peace to Sornieth, but her wish was genuine.

After months of calling the nagual dragon "Master", she was finally deemed worthy of knowing his name - Layan. It was then, when she was given the knowledge of how to use magic and his name, that she did her first transformation, which was, surprisingly, successful.

She donned the pure-white fur and some spots, not nearly as many as her master did, but she was pleased. "You are ready, young one. Seek your future and stay safe on your path. The more experienced you become, the more spots shall you earn." - were the last words she heard from her master.

The young Nagual continued her journey with intention of sightseeing, saddened by the disappearance of her master, but happy to have met him. She's currently sightseeing in lands of Plague, and, other than a certain werewolf, she is surprised by the scenery difference, but is somewhat mesmerized by the endemic species around.
