Perseus

Perseus and his sister Asteria were born to a pair of scholars; his mother a philosopher of the natural sciences and his father a stellar cartographer. Perseus grew up enamored with his father's inticate illutrations of the heavens and his vivid retellings of the legends and stories that went along with every star, planet, constellation, and celestial body. The siblings themselves had been born of a sign of some significance, and it gave the boy a sense of grandeur from a young age that, combined with his love of the constellations, crystallized into an obession in his early adulthood. He wanted to travel, to establish a career studying the heavens. Like his father before him, he wanted to see different stars than those he had been born under.

His sister refused to let him go by himself, and so they set out, with their combined knowledge and ambition, to make a home for themselves somewhere no one from their family had ever been.
