What we call Freyr is not a dragon as we can be used to.
Its shaped as dragon, but that's only an appearance.
Actually, Freyr is a full colony of knoted worms, and when one goes too near, they could ear them crawling against one another. The clan of the dead stag uses Freyr the Colony to clean their bones.
The swarm doesn't sleep. The swarm never rests. The swarm always thrives
All the worms born from Arbellaine's body. They escaped from her, then they were molded by Xenakis into a ridgeback just like her. No worm thinks on its own, but together they think as a whole living creature. Each one of them acts for the whole colony. Together, the worms move slowly the legs of their fake body and success to walk by the lair. Together, they are like a moving wave of blight looking for food. It doesn't matter if this food is made of plant, insects, fishes or even flesh... it's just about eating everything that goes nearby the swarm.
But the swarm also thinks, feels and makes its own decisions like any other dragon.
The swarm relates to Arbellaine as its Mother, Xenakis being its creator. Its speaks with a strange tenderness about him and radiates of a brillant gratitude of having been molded by his paws.
Because it's no matter if your body is made of cells or worms, every being fonction the same way.
