Jazzmyn landed. Her ivory-colored scales gleamed in the light of lightning. The Guardian female had obsidian-black wings, and black lace ornaments on her limbs. She wore the wing silks that she had bought in the Sunbeam Ruins earlier that day. She was at the Lightning Farm market. She saw small stalls were on either sides of the path as she flew by. She saw a handsome blue Tundra bargaining on a watermelon. Everyone else was a blur. She didn’t care about them. She cared about him. She shook the thought away. He was a stranger.
She sped across the market, and took off, looking for a space to create her own Clan. She found a large clearing a few miles away from the crowded marketplace. She spotted a thrush, gulping down a tiny vole. She flew above it and plummeted down towards it. She killed it with a swift bite. It had tons of feathers on it. Jazzmyn used them to create a nest for herself. She wove brambles and twigs to make a den. She drifted into a long sleep, curling her
Jazzmyn woke up. The same Tundra who she had saw at the market, was snoozing beside her. She saw that the den was complete and there were a few other dens and nests as well. He blinked his eyes open, revealing teal eyes.
“I’m Charles,” he introduced. “You are?”
“Jazzmyn.” she replied, her heart aching with joy. “Would you like to join my Clan, Charles?” Words blurted out of her mouth. Charles nodded. Jazzmyn cherished that moment forever.

Afew weeks had passed and Jazzmyn was the mother of three, noisy, dragons. “I’m faster than you!” squealed Siarl, a male Guardian, to his sister.
“You’ll only be faster when Charles is carrying you!” retorted Huffle. She was the last-born, a female Tundra, and the most sarcastic out of the three. Buckley was into healing. She would daydream, collect herbs, and treat the Clan’s wounds. The Clan’s healer, Jazzmyn forgot her name, had trained Buckley.
One day, lightning struck the dens. They burst into flames. Huffle and Siarl were lost in the flames with Charles. Soon it passed and Charles found the two bodies dead. Buckley had died a few days later of depression. She was young; she didn’t deserve to grieve at such a young age.
Shocked, Jazzmyn made an oath. She would never become a mother again, knowing that they will die someday, and the grief will be too much to bear. Charles agreed to the oath. For know, they would have to focus on the Clan. The Clan was full and eggs were hatching soon. Jazzmyn could live in the past forever, if she wanted to. But she chose to move on, like every wise dragon should.
