Hunapo
One does not find their true calling by staying put.

Even when he was young, Hunapo felt that he did not belong.

His parents kept him at arms length, for he had been sired for the sole purpose of being trained for the service of Gladekeeper. Personally, he had felt that this pursuit was a useless and unfruitful task, for what kind of life was one wholly spent serving another?

As such, he was not very successful during his training.

When he proved to be a disappointment to his clan, he was sent off with all his belongings by the clan elders, who discarded him at a newly-formed, stumbling new nature clan, in the hopes that he might have some practical use there.

This small clan was more open, and accepting. Magic, the matriarch, protected them all, and none would get between her and her charges. Not even the deities themselves, in fact. If Hunapo so wished, he could stay there as long as he liked, away from those he did not want to serve.

And so Hunapo spent the rest of his childhood there, rather content.

However, as time went on, as he grew older, and he watched childhood friends spread their wings and leave this safe haven in search of better things, he wondered.

Wondered what it was like to explore, to be the only one responsible for yourself and the only one you were responsible for. What it was like to fly over a different landscape than the one'd seen every day of his life, to meet new people, to see more to life.

Soon, he worked up the courage to ask Magic about leaving.

And so began an odyssey of self-discovery.



Hunapo is one of the most travelled of the clan members, having visited all the elemental regions at least briefly in his wanderings, and much longer stays in certain flights. After many years, he returned to the Clan of The Snowy Owl, having seen what the world has to offer and now content with his simple life.

To most, he seems unfathomably old and wise. But those are the ones who did not meet him when he was younger.



Hunapo had already decided that he was going to visit Dragonhome first.

The birthplace of his ancestors, he had heard many stories about its great mountain ranges, endless stretches of broken rock, vast ravines, and most of all, the gigantic World Pillar which towered into the clouds, the final keeper of peace in all the land and the resting place of the mighty Earthshaker.

Hunapo

He never did feel like a nature dragon. So he found his way to a Earth and Fire flight, and learnt to use his runes to summon the power of molten earth.

It made him happy. But something was missing.

Eventually, through his wandering, he found himself in Lightning territory. Then he realised what he had wanted his whole life.

Machines. Whirring gears, sparking plugs, flashing lights, magical machinery. It was a dream. Hunapo had found his passion. Even better, he could use his lava to power them.

After learning the best he could from the remarkably friendly inhabitants of the Shifting Expanse (GET BACK TO WORK!!), he came back to his original Nature clan with enough machinery and tinkering parts to last a lifetime.
