Biography
CloudChaser
Valpuris sighed, staring lovingly at the small plant. "They are kind. That is the best I can explain it, Babette. I don't believe you would understand," he said, and then turned his back to her to attend to a plant that'd been looking a bit brown at the edges.
He stiffended as he felt teeth graze his neck along with the sensation of hot breath. He silently cursed his bad hearing. "Babette, what are you doing?" he asked, making sure his voice remained steady and calm.
"I could kill you right here, you understand. Drain you of your blood, rend the flesh from your bones, discard the tasteless metal you wear. It'd take less than a minute, unless I decided to keep you alive throughout the process... yes, I think I could do that.." she trailed off, her teeth still pressed against his neck.
Valpuris tried to pull away, but her teeth were too close for him to manuever his slender neck out of her grip. He could feel her teeth digging in further, and pain shot through his body and made his limbs jerk.
"Stay still, you stupid Half-Coatl!" Babette growled. He tried to comply, he really did, but the searing pain in his neck was slowly growing into agony..
He could feel the pain rushing through his body, making him feel as though his very blood was on fire and every nerve was screaming..
Babette pulled away from him with a yelp. Valpuris fell to the ground, barely able to keep his neck up to see what was happening. His vision was blurring and his stomach seemed to have a mind of its own that wanted to climb up his throat.
The moment before pain swallowed him, he thought he could see Babette, looking as though half her body had been exposed to an explosion, being dragged away by a swarm of nature sprites.

Cyborg gardener |

Varpulis sat in his garden, gazing at the rows and rows of plants and flowers. Calmness spread through his body, pushing away the thoughts of the other dragons in the clan. For now, he was in the midst of gentle plants. They did not judge, jeer, nor did they stare at him in ways that made his skin crawl. He rose from the bench he was sitting on, wincing as his legs creaked at the slightest movement. He then launched himself into the air, hovering over the garden. He gazed over the plants, noting individuals that needed to be taken care of. His heart swelled at the sight of the plants, the only things he could truly take care of. He'd been nearly useless since- He abruptly pushed the memory away. He refused to think about it. A loud step was all the warning he had before Babette stepped into the garden. Varpulis sighed and dived back to the dirt floor, warily stepping towards the tundra. "Is there something you needed, Babette?" he asked. He tried to sound polite, but it came out as sarcasm. Babette paused for a moment, lifting her head. Her red eyes flared as she sniffed the air, reminding Varpulis of a rabid wolf. He shivered, but refused to look away. She smiled lazily at him a moment later. "You like these plants, yes?" Valpuris paused. He'd never had anybody interested in his work. "Yes.. I do," he said hesitantly. Babette walked to a small plant that had barely sprouted from the ground and eyed it curiously. "But.. why? They do not have flesh.. or blood. What is it you find so appealing about them?" |
