History
Most will say that the darkness will corrupt, will swallow a dragon whole, and leave nothing but bones. That nothing can be trusted in those shadows, and those who venture forward are little more than foolish children believing themselves deities.

But the land is nearly as old as the darkness, and Athos saw no fear in those shadows.

Unexpected, unchosen, unknown--but at home in the darkness, he found his way into the clan and made a home there. And even when the world pressed around him, when the black of night threatened to diminish him into nothing, he held strong, a rock against the waves. He had known the Shade, and he had watched from the Pillar as a young hatchling in Dragonhome. The shades here would prove no different. From the Shattered Plain to the Wispwillow Grove, Athos knew he walked with the emblem of the Earthshaker blazoned on his heart and etched into his wings.

And when the time came to fight, as it always seems to do, Athos stood with his clan, shield in hand and hardened claws at the ready.

I ought not be the only one here, he'd mentioned to one of the leaders one night. We are strong, yes. But a strength born in solitude is one easily broken. Children of the other gods can breathe in the darkness as well, not just one child of the Earthshaker. Let us find others. I am sure that otherwise, they will be more than pleased to find us.

And how could they argue?

Trivia
  • When I went to the AH right before purchasing him, I had every intention of buying an XXX copper crystal/facet/runes. Yet when I saw him I knew he was what I was looking for.
  • I found Athos on the AH already at level 25.
  • Athos is the dragon that kickstarted my need to have a dragon for each flight i.e. flight reps.
