Biography

New ideas come naturally to Lightning dragons- especially the Ridgebacks, with ingenuity and energy in spades, who work consistently and constantly on what they want, for better or for worse. Some create new machinery to help dragons who aren't as strong, can't see the same things in the same manner, or just simply need extra help. Some- they'll just tinker and build pointless things that kick a rock around or let you read while you're asleep. However, SamSinister is rather different in his goals. His inventions are meant to bring chaos to the world and to his workplace, to bring dragons down and keep beating them down and not letting up. The only thing is, well...they never really work.

His plans are intricate, and there's plenty of failsafes to keep things from going wrong! Yet...nothing works. He'll set up a machine that is quite obviously intended to trap an unsuspecting dragon in a wrought-iron cage, but as soon as he starts flying over to laugh in the unfortunate soul's face, he'll realize that the mechanism has delayed just enough for the dragon to escape and for him to end up in their place as they laugh at him. The dapper Ridgeback just can't seem to catch a break! To add further insult to injury, many a time, the dragons he's tried to harm have seen him as 'misunderstood', as 'trying too hard', and they end up being friendly, instead of treating him as a real threat- which he is, and he'll let you know it.

SamSinister's main goal in this lair is to be seen as formidable by at least one dragon, and while many respect his ability to come up with new ideas and create fine machines to do his work for him (minions, if you will, that keep him company in bouts of scheming), they oft see him as little more than someone attempting to keep the production levels down for the rest of them. The fact that they see him is this stirs his hatred for them substantially- all he wants is just one rival, someone who will be content in challenging him, treating him like a real supervillain, bringing him to his limits so he can confidently say his new scheme will take them down and that it's his best work yet. It may take a while yet, considering how things go now, but...it will happen.
