Arene is thought to be one of the clan's leaders alongside Artemis, but he's never present in public. The coatl seems to be incredibly secretive about what they are up to, and Artemis never brings them up. In fact, most of the clan would not even know of Arene's existence if not for a rumor that has been going around since the very beginnings of the clan. Whatever he's doing, he clearly does not want the public to know; Those who go to investigate always come up empty handed and bewildered. Those who know Arene refuse to speak about them. Perhaps this mystery is meant to be left alone...


▬▬ ORIGIN ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Many years ago, The Fallen One had offered two travelers, Artemis and Arene, a deal: they would form and gather members for a clan. The two travelers would get to live in the peaceful clan they had been searching for, and The Fallen One would grow closer to achieving her personal goals. The two were suspicious, and rightfully so; The Fallen One refused to elaborate on these goals, and she was very vague about the details of the agreement. Sensing that the two were growing doubtful, The Fallen One forced them into a corner, giving them no choice but to accept the deal. In a desperate struggle to keep her spouse safe, Artemis asserted that she would accept the deal, but not Arene. Arene looked on in stunned silence, and The Fallen One accepted her word. Angry at themself for not doing more, Arene vowed to save their wife from this precarious situation. He stuck around the clan, hiding in the shadows, keeping a watchful eye on The Fallen One. They work in the dark, carefully orchestrating the demise of The Fallen One once and for all...
