Stone Meditation and Yoga Guide Trait | Trait | Trait Strongly in touch with his element, Stone has found a calling bringing peace to those seeking it, and what better place to set up shop than a resort? He holds yoga and meditation classes nearly every morning, teaching dragons how to be more in tune with their spiritual energies and live life with a clear head and calm disposition. Compassionate to everyone and deeply understanding of their problems, he will do anything to help one gain peace in their lives, even allowing those who just need a friend to stick around after his classes are over. It seems though Stone has the perfect life set up for himself, and that nearly nothing bothers him- while mostly true, it seems there may be more lurking under the waters. Stone was hatched and raised in the shallow pools of the Tsunami Flats that border Fire territory. What little time he wasn't spending splashing around in the coastal waters and befriending small animals was dedicated to practicing his magic skills. For someone so young, he was able to gain a proficient understanding of water magic. The tides were his, or so he believed. One breezy day, he strayed a little too far from his tide pool chasing a particularly interesting bird. The thunder rolled in faster than he could notice it. Before he was aware of the situation, the waves grabbed him and dragged him to shore. He doesn't remember how long he was blacked out. The next thing he can recall was washing up on the shores of the Molten Scar. With black sooty sand smudged on his cheek, the adolescent hatchling in his state of panic could do nothing more than wobble and cry for help. Years went by as he tried to find his way home, but no matter how many times he searched up and down the shoreline, he couldn't find any trace of the home he once knew. It took him longer than he likes to admit to realize he needed to forge his own destiny from then on. Under the apprenticeship of Bud, who he had solicited the doorstep of to ask for help when he had first washed up, he learned the way to peace. He had a rough time coming to terms with his past, but eventually he learned to accept the storm that dragged him away wasn't tearing him from his past, but rather guiding him to his future. Stone split from Bud's mentorship amicably after realizing he viewed things a little differently than his teacher, and though they still talk, Stone getting bustling business while Bud is left in the dirt has noticeably soured their friendship. He still holds the Spiral in high honors, however- without him extending a friendly claw and housing the boy when he was a scared child, teaching him peace and self-worth, he would have never found that his goal in life is to give that same compassion to others in need. |
